Swinging this back around the initial queries and comments…. How does this support a reform led government? And why are they not facist?

It doesn’t support a reform led government. It just gets rid of the bastards that have led to this.

They aren’t fascist because their policies are based on nationality, not ethnicity.
I’ve not seen a single thing from them that would suggest a black Brit would be treated any differently to me

The post WW2 industrial collapse has to do with a bit more than just him. The 'hard left' also gave us the NHS to be clear

Up to a point. The NHS in its original form yes (and again, I’m not saying that all right is good, all left is bad), but universal free healthcare was a pledge by all three parties in 1945. The only difference was the system proposed

I don't doubt there are fascists who vote for Reform but the majority aren't going to be actual full on fascists.

That’s the sort of reasonableness that is missing in modern political discourse.

A lot of the actual far right hate Farage. See him as a sell out

It’s so fascinating to watch the right do what the left has been doing for decades but on speedrun. Purity spirals and all. Constant splits and splinter groups. Protests. A belief that everyone really agrees with you and only shadowy forces are stopping class consciousness.

I almost hate to tell you how it turns out.

see I’ve not called the voters facists - I’ve called the party facist, and given examples where their policies are inherently facist.

the voters are “useful idiots” who need to look at all the policies they’re suggesting and voting history. It’s akin to turkeys voting for Christmas

You don’t need to tell me that. People like Rupert Lowe are a clear example of it

Western civilisation has collapsed. It started collapsing in 1918 and reached its conclusion in 2008.
We’re just in the period now where nothing else has replaced it yet.

It took the Romans a few hundred years to realise their civilisation had collapsed. We’re no different.

Just pray what replaces it is better. Early signs aren’t good

I mean the Roman state quite literally collapsed. I hate to tell you this but the UK govt and the govts of other western nations are still very much still going. Seriously man, we’re doing OK. Crime is low, standards of living are generally up. We’re going through an interesting patch similar to the printing press with social media but we’re still coming out on top. I’d rather live in the west than anywhere else by a mile.

You really really need to stop mainlining Russian and Chinese propaganda. Look at the numbers.

Of course! Hating the UK and wishing it was like an authoritarian communist state.

No no it’s pure coincidence this entire problem only started once we did Brexit. Just chance we had decades without it then suddenly thousands at once once we left. Just bloody unlucky us

This is nonsense. Brexit is not the reason we have Afghans, Syrians, Eritrean and Somalis etc. making perilous journeys to Europe and seeking asylum. Perhaps, just perhaps more than one thing happens politically in the world at the same time.

Just grasping here a little but I think war zones and unstable regimes may have something to do with this…….

But no let’s draw some lazy conclusions..

Can we get back to football and kill this thread off. I think everyone agrees there is no place for racism in football or our club!!

Just chance it all happened the same time and nothing before. No war before 2020, how silly of me to forget. God damn you Joe Biden for inventing war 😠

Makes sense, situation there seems a whole lot more trouble than it's worth. Interesting to see how it ripples out.

Let’s hope a few more go the same way

If you truly believed this was the state of Britain, why did you and many others kick out the Tories if everything was all well and good? The country was angry and still is.

In normal times, you wouldn’t get this at football matches. I touched on this back in May, but the amount of ‘Reform’ football stickers you see is astounding and from clubs up and down the country.

The electorate and our society has been unhappy with the country’s immigration policy since Blair was PM. What comes next if the next Government Labour/Tory or even Reform fail to resolve this will be bad.

The only hero worship that’s acceptable imo at a football game is one our players, managers or even owner (not my cup of tea either)…

Labour said they would end the use of them. Don't remember the timetable for it. Not a great situation for them to inherit (use of hotels), don't know if they've made it better or worse in the interim i.e. are the hotels managed more closely or effectively to mitigate the issues that are rightly pissing people off now than before they took office.

The state of “western civilisation” not the UK.

May I politely suggest that you read up on the Dublin Regulation and why we had to leave it.

Leaving the the Dublin Regulation makes it more difficult to send boat arrivals back to France. It also means it doesn’t matter if they have already been granted asylum in an EU country they can still claim asylum in the UK.

It’s no coincidence that leaving the Dublin agreement has coincided with a massive rise in the trend of boat crossings and therefore arrivals.

Roman Britain carried on like that for about 100 years, till it had enough of foreign invaders raiding our wealth, and got the Anglo Saxons in.

Nothing works anymore. Anything run by the state is a joke

Civilisations don't collapse in a day.

It also coincided with a reduction in the amount of people coming in via the backs of trucks, so that must mean leaving the Dublin agreement was the right thing to do
