Sonof snoz, he's only won one game 5-4, and we were 3-0 up in that.
Its bonkers to compare him to anyone this early let alone bloody Fergie.
He could turn out like Andy Thorn for all we know

Even if he was, he wouldn't bring us up the league's with him. He'd be poached by a higher/bigger club

Yep we have only won 1 game so far, lets not get ahead of ourselves before we get another Thorn situation where he won a couple of games and was the messiah!

Wow 3 games in to the season with 1 win and hes the new Fergie. End of last season he was the next Thorn.

He has had a full pre season for the first time (hardly a normal pre season) and I will only judge him after 15 games into the season although I must admit he is growing on me with the style of football we are playing considering everything that has gone on it must have been difficult to motivate and encourage our players to give it their all for the football club.

Not convinced given the club shenanigans it's possible to judge him if he does badly this season full-stop.

Both from Scotland, both need an interpretor, I can see the similarities growing. ;)

Did like the way we played last match, it was good exciting football. The old Kevin Keegan philosophy of they score one, you score one more. Elvis said as much in his post match interview, so it's good to have a style of our own to build from in the aftermath of Mark Robins' success, building on the fact we're so much better in attack than playing negatively.

The only thing I don't like so far is how he says he's proud of all of his players after every game! If it's all nicey nice there's no benchmark for comparison when they actually DO play well.

Are we going to have to score five every game to win.
We have conceded a lot of goals i would have thought being a defender he would find that the easiest part of the side to sort out !!!

people are getting a tad carried away. we've won one out of three games and let in 10 goals in the process. we're 7 points away from being out of the relegation zone and yet I've heard talk of the play offs. what happens when the injuries and suspensions start mounting up or when someone gives us a hiding - who knows how the kids in our team will respond to that.

WAY TOO SOON TO COMPARE

but yes he has potential and gives me more confidence than even mark robins did

yes i just said that!

he talks a good game, his vision of how the he wants the game played is one that is pleasent ont he eye and more importantly works(at other clubs, still work i progress for us), he is the way forward.

we always talk about having so many different managers, i hope this one gets 5 years minimum

how are those points anything to do with his management ability?

hes working wonders with what hes got.

if we go ona slump because of injuries/kids its due to sisu/council not our manager

its not like hes there saying "bale? nah i dont want him,i have garner in the academy"

I've said all along I think he's a very competent manager along the lines of robins at the moment than sir Alex , but hey we can all aspire for greatness .
But the major factor is will he given time. anything above relegation this season to me will be a great stepping stone and no mean feat I think with the most limited resources in recent history we are showing grit and determination just wish I was there to support them at home but that decision was taken for me when we crossed county lines

I watched Sunday's game on Youtube and from what I saw, I liked his style of play. However, he hasn't had enough time yet for me to make judgement, so I'll give him until mid-season to make a decision. I really hope he can do it for us, but only time will tell.

His performance since arrival has been disasterous! 13 games 4 wins!

Had it not been for a shockingly below performance by Brizzle it would be just 3 wins out of 13 - that makes 23.07%

Thorn 60 games 13 wins 21.67%!

Add to that you seem to forget the shocking manner those games were lost. They weren't by narrow margins, they were shocking displays! So to the guy who said give him 15 games - he has had 13, a terrible pre-season, leaking goals more than any other manager. Infact were it not for the current form of the kids (and form might be temporary - but I hope it isn't), they would have been thrashed all season!

Spare me he is the new fergie - maybe if you spelt fergie t.h.o.r.n!

Add to that the biggest turd in the swimming pool the post match interviews. If they get hammered he is proud, a manager as players should be devastated by losses. Mind you looking at the way the scots lads got hammered 6-0 last night, letting in 3 could be considered a win compared to that!

He has no plan B, and his plan relies on a great pitch! Watch the string of defeats as soon as the pitch cuts up. Never should have signed him!

How can you judge after 3 games? :D

All I know is that he likes to lace his sentences with superlatives.

I think your being overly harsh there
You've got take into consideration he lost our main goal threat through injury last year had to deal with a 10 point deduction ( ok we were more than 10 points off playoff but mentally took the wind out of their sails ) all off field distractions had to use 100 % of a inherited team no home ground advantage or crowd to speak of I don't think another manager coming into this predicament would fare any better .
And although any comparison to fergie is ridiculous it is well documented that if fergie wasn't given the time he was we mite be looking at a different united now
