not saying he shouldnt have scored, but it was nothing like an open goal and got pinged at him, watch it again. Wright had the same chance with the added benefit of time and touches...Godden had an open goal… I’m sure even Godden would have the accountability to admit he should’ve buried that 9 times out of 10.
Wright’s chance wasn’t an ‘easy’, he should’ve scored and lacked that finesse.

They both strike me as players who would enjoy a more direct style of play. Wright and Simms would surely benefit from crosses into the box. Played quite well, definitely looked happier out there and unlucky not to score.Played well.. one of the few positives tonight. Worked hard, showed some nice touches and despite not scoring yet, was confident enough to take on the shot himself, instead of looking to lay it off.

Simms played well in the first half but there were occasions in the second half his control and shooting were awful. He was taken off at the right time.
Looked pretty good for me, touch deserted him 2nd half with continually having a heavy touch but looked decent, hope he gets a proper run in the team over Wright, that missed sitter last night was incredible after watching it back on TV, live , it looked a bit of a difficult chance.There’s definitely a player there, let’s hope he’s another who doesn’t become devoid of confidence.
