I am sure that I am not the only one to notice, but this summer has definitely seen a rise in the use of an Elephant-only secondary/tertiary logo.

It all points to it being our new badge after this season, IMO.

I could see them doing something like using it on the third shirt.

Feels americanised.
Not unhappy with the one in the back of the shirt, i actually think its a nice detail. But the big elephant head on tees definitely not my cuppa.

Been that way for a bit if you think on it.

For instance when we announced Lampard all the images had the elephant from our badge on them.

If they try and push a new badge on us then we need to riot, tennis balls on the pitch and all sorts.

Our badge is by far and away the best in the EFL.

100% *I actually like the elephant and castle from 11/12 badge and wouldn’t mind going to that*

It would be a big surprise if they do change the badge after basing this years kit on it. Or they could be using this years home kit as a farewell to the badge as we enter a “new era with a modern badge”

I think you’ve nailed it. The more I think about it, the more it makes sense. It wouldn’t surprise me if next season’s kit with the new badge has already been designed.

They had more modernised cartoon symbols blended into the striped Hummel shirt from a couple of years ago.

Don't think they look very good tbh

I've literally only just noticed that the elephant on the top and bottom images has the Hummel chevrons factored in...

If that is a Hummel detail and not just a coincidence, then I think it rules out our adopting it as the club badge.

I'm with you. I have always liked that design. Simplified but still retains some core elements.

However, I also recognize that as an American, I may be a bit predisposed to that style of crest. I am the last one to get any input on the matter of any wholesale change.

Hope not. Sunderland’s black cat as an example of why we shouldn’t do it.

Just just the first part of the badge. Second part has the arm extended outwards and upwards slightly.

I'm not that bothered about having a different badge for training kit or something cartoony for JSB's.

But these are naff. Almost as naff as the badge monstrosity from a few decades ago.

Thinking on it, if the club want a secondary logo. We could look at the late 90s interwind letters.

Could look good on the back of the kit?
