I could see them doing something like using it on the third shirt. It all points to it being our new badge after this season, IMO.

100% *I actually like the elephant and castle from 11/12 badge and wouldn’t mind going to that*If they try and push a new badge on us then we need to riot, tennis balls on the pitch and all sorts.
Our badge is by far and away the best in the EFL.

I think you’ve nailed it. The more I think about it, the more it makes sense. It wouldn’t surprise me if next season’s kit with the new badge has already been designed. It would be a big surprise if they do change the badge after basing this years kit on it. Or they could be using this years home kit as a farewell to the badge as we enter a “new era with a modern badge”
I am sure that I am not the only one to notice, but this summer has definitely seen a rise in the use of an Elephant-only secondary/tertiary logo.

Never noticed this, good little detailI've literally only just noticed that the elephant on the top and bottom images has the Hummel chevrons factored in...
If that is a Hummel detail and not just a coincidence, then I think it rules out our adopting it as the club badge.I've literally only just noticed that the elephant on the top and bottom images has the Hummel chevrons factored in...
I thought it was a pogo stick with streamers on the handles. The top one looks like it's on acid.

Hope not. Sunderland’s black cat as an example of why we shouldn’t do it.It all points to it being our new badge after this season, IMO.

Forearm smash?
The original and still the worst shit badge concept
Just just the first part of the badge. Second part has the arm extended outwards and upwards slightly.Forearm smash?
