Maybe Andy Holt should cancel plans for the new stand if Stanley are broke.

All teams trying to void the season should be put into league two next year and replaced by the teams in league two that are prepared to actually participate in the game. See if that focusses a few minds, if it is about financial security and player and staff wellbeing then they wouldn't mind the drop.

Exactly! They would soon change their mind.

Agreed. In Eire it has been announced today that no mass gatherings of more than 5,000 will be allowed until at least 1 September-

Germany have said the same. No mass gatherings before 31 Aug. There is no way we will be back at grounds this season. Every chance next season starts behind closed doors as well.

Almost certainly.

Even if we find a vaccine now, it will take a long time to get it into mass production and out there.

He's still going.

Shame he's not so desperate to refund my Accrington tickets as he is to get the season voided.

What does this mean or imply?

Uefa says some leagues could be cancelled 'in special cases'

I'd say a global pandemic constitutes a 'special case'!

Yeah.
I'm just getting bothered that the governing bodies appear to be dividing the leagues,to pick them off one by one
No solidarity at all .

What jurisdiction does UEFA have over what the EFL does though? I don't quite get the relationships

It’s obvious to me ALL Cup competitions Champions League, FA Cup, League Cup etc, should be suspended until league programs are up and running and regularly, if that means no FA Cup or other cup competitions for a season so be it, just get the league programs up and running initially probably behind closed doors then when appropriate introduce crowds but what we have is UEFA looking after themselves and their own self interests, they correctly put the Euros back twelve months so why not the cups especially where foreign travel is concerned.

It seems the Dutch are cancelling all their divisions
No decision on how it will be done though

Built a bar in the garden.... with a screen... for purely selfish reasons I would like the season completed with all games screened. So I can get drunk ... do a one man conga up the garden if we win and throw bar stools around if we lose. Only draw back is Neighbours on both sides are Notts Forest so nobody to celebrate with over a garden fence.

Closing the season down even with us as champions will be such an anti climax

We can always do a minute's applause on a Thursday, straight after the NHS one.

Better still, if do it at the exact same time it will look like the entire nation are City supporters.

Same. We are the best team in the league. 7 points clear, only lost 3 games all season.

It would look great in the record books and promotion to boot.

He had a meltdown when I suggested people would engineer this for their own personal gain. He said it was in bad taste and people wouldn't...

The next day Karen Brady wanted things voiding. Would he have been shouting void the season when Accrington were due promotion from League 2? Would he fuck.

Holt is a weird one. His twitter feed gives the impression he has little grasp over what is going on at his own club let alone the league as a whole but the fans seem to love him.

To be honest I thought he was a great owner, not sure if that was just because he was interacting on social media and Accrington got promoted.

Now he seems a bit of a dick, he has tried to be cocky and blame CCFC about the ticket money. CCFC replied to say they haven't heard anything from Accrington but are refunding home game tickets if people request it.

This whole corona thing has sent him a bit eccentric.

Fuck, feels like it's getting closer. If they void us after this season I will genuinely be done with it all.

Have they said what will happen to Barrow? Clear at the top of the table with a game in hand.

Me too, meanwhile it will benefit clubs who didn't do well.

He is going the same way the Notts County owner did with his random rants.

I thought he had his head screwed on but now seems to be wild. Conversely I thought MacAnthony was a bit wild but he seems decent. I guess it depends where you fall on the argument. Holt in particular seems to be all over the place. One, day it's safety, one day it's revenue, one day they're redeveloping the stadium, the next day it ruins the integrity of the competition, the next he's going to play kids. I think someone needs to get him off twitter and write an article or something so we get his coherent point of view, although from what I'm seeing he doesn't have anything consistent.

Looks a right tit, I bet there is a line of communication open that he can use and I can guarantee that City aren't making things up.
