Harshly put but quite probable.Dropped from first team actiom
Not good enough
Hopefully gone in summer
Fuck me, that's fucking brutal. Not good enough

He has played over 125 games - he isn’t still developing. If he is happy to be a squad player, I would keep him. Versatile and still developing.
He didn’t play for us in league 1Fuck me, that's fucking brutal.
He's one of our own, cost us nothing, and made over 130 appearances, not a high earner, always gave 100% and was part of our journey from league 1 to where we are now. When we hadn't got 2 pennies to rub together we were grateful to rely on him.
If we've moved on and his time here is to come to an end, why not just wish him all the best?
His brace was in boxing day, half a season ago. There was a period earlier this season where he was about the only player standing up to be counted. More recently under Lampard he got a brace. He might not be getting much of an opportunity now and had a couple of poor games when he did play but I'm not at all writing him off.
Who knows why he’s been left out? it May be a straightforward reason.Gone from every game starter under Robins to 6th choice CM for Lampard.
If Stoke want to give us £1.5m-3m in the summer for him I'd take it.
Just a stroke of bad luck on his part I'd say. He got injured just as Ben was coming back, Torp was finding form and Grimes was firing on all cylinders. Also FL has made it very clear he's a Jamie Allen fan. That's 4 people ahead of him now he's out injured, you'll always find it hard coming back from an injury straight in to contention, even more so with 4 players like that ahead of you. Though he's not whining or kicking off (otherwise surely we'd of heard) and is happy filling in as a squad player, he won't be on loads wages wise. If we don't go up (and let's be honest, even IF we turn it around on Tuesday we've still got to get past blades) I'd happily keep him as a squad player. Good for rotation/cup games etc. We wouldn't get much in terms of a fee, and wouldn't replace him for the fee we would get. I'd keep hold. Possibly look to loan him out with the recall option if Sheaf gets injured again.Who knows why he’s been left out? it May be a straightforward reason.
Got offered a new contract though.I thought this year was a big year for him, and earlier this season I felt he was becoming a really important and consistent player who goes under the radar - not getting as much wrong as he did before.
But then FL came in and he just doesn’t fancy him does he?
I'd like 5M at least for Eccles due to the exorbitant rates some players are going for. We got really shafted with Simms and Wright and EMC and need to recoup some cash.Gone from every game starter under Robins to 6th choice CM for Lampard.

think it was triggered by appearances rather than offeredGot offered a new contract though.
He did.He didn’t play for us in league 1
He played twenty odd games in a season for a side who got a penalty kick away from promotionHe has never been consistently good enough for a team pushing for promotion.
Unfortunately a lot of people don’t want to hear it because he is ’one of our own’
Jack the price up I'd say, although you'd assume £2-3m anyway, maybe they don't like his choice of barber or the seeming Impression that he talks out of school.Got offered a new contract though.

Robins often said how highly he rated Eccles, and while he may struggle for game time at a club that now expects to be top 6, he'd be a real asset to a team like Stoke who are looking for year on year improvement. In most cases I think its lazy to link players to Stoke/Robins, or just wishful thinking in a lot of cases actually... but Eccles stinks of it.
Yep-not a player who is going to get us where we want to be. Will he be a good addition to say a Stoke etc who want to go from the bottom of the table to lower-mid table? Absolutely.Robins often said how highly he rated Eccles, and while he may struggle for game time at a club that now expects to be top 6, he'd be a real asset to a team like Stoke who are looking for year on year improvement.
And considering he'd not be too expensive in today's market, and is a versatile squad player, I think he'd be the perfect fit for Stoke.
Personally I wouldn't be too disappointed if he stays, he's better cover at RWB and CM than Lats (imho)
But obviously the money would be useful, and the lad will want game time, which would be scarce here.
