I agree that you can’t judge the table after 3 games but I think we have played two teams that will be relegated this year and the other will be comfortably bottom half.Oh yeah because the table tells you how good/bad teams are after 3 games doesn’t it
Was thinking this myself - was really impressed on how we played yesterday but then it still hurts how we could not score against Bolton as to make matters worse they have shipped 10 goals in the last two games since our 0-0 draw- If we play well and beat Portsmouth Tuesday then we might start hopingdont think we could have had an easier start to the season with the fixtures we’ve had. But we have beaten what's been put in front of us apart from a referee so we've done what was needed so far.

But we do play a better type of football compared to the other teams that are outside the Top 6Apparently we play Championship style football according to someone on twitter.
The delusion is strong in this one.
Bolton were playing us at home in front of an impassioned crowd who would have lifted them. Southend also took a pasting yesterday.
The point being that once a white knight comes in as always seems to happen they will pick things up.
True, every shot Lincoln had on target went it. But was it a pasting?
Looking at the stats, Lincoln had four more shots than Southend and two more on target. Whereas. when we played them, we had four more shots than Southend and only one more on target. So statistically we weren't all that far behind.
Similarly against Bolton (where we had goals taken off us), our stats are not very different to those of others opponents Bolton have faced so far.
Tranmere had 18 more shots than Bolton and 10 more on target. Wycombe had 22 more shots than Bolton and 10 more on target. These were both away games for Bolton. When they were at home to us, we had 19 more shots than Bolton and five more on target (and that's not counting the three disallowed goals of course).
Also interesting is the fact that Bolton had 62% of possession against Wycombe, 45% against Tranmere, and only 32% against us.
Rochdale, at home to Bolton in the Carabao cup won 5-2, with slightly less possession than we had away to Bolton. Rochdale had 8 more shots than Bolton, and four more on target.
So, overall, I don't think we did much worse than Bolton's other L1 opponents this season, especially taking in account than we were the only team Bolton has so far played at home. Be interesting to see how to see how they Bolton do in their other games at "Fortress University of Bolton Stadiium" this season.
Finally, Bristol Rovers have lost two and drawn one games of their three league games this season. Each game was against a team now in the top four of L1. Each team, including us, had more shots on target than they did, but whereas Wycombe and Blackpool had fewer shots overall than Bristol, we had three more shots than Bristol Rovers and three more shots on target (Blackpool also had three more on target, while Wycombe had just one more).
I conclude we have started like the top four club we should be!!
