Houch...my eyes are watering!

....Reminds me of a girl I dated with a Russian accent and claimed to be married to a Sky Blue supporter and all he wanted to do was kill her.
She said he told her he had loads of money from Superman movies and so she married him. Trouble was the money dried up and he only ever wanted to play with online forums and when she said "come to bed hun"....he apparently could never make his mind up and repeatedly kept telling her she was a Russian catalogue bride...

As for Freddie. I think he can go because we have torn up his contract by mutual consent so he can find another club. So not subject to embargo conditions and gets £8k a week back in the clubs bank.

Do be honest the whole timing is what baffles me. I mean he is fitter than he was at start of season and didnt mind him being an option from the bench. McDonald, Nimley, Platt will hopefully be enough. look we all know the lad underachieved when we expected so much. Its not his fault he was on huge wages it is his fault i supposse that he did not put in the effort to show if he had what it takes at this level. (but this is something that he will think about many years from now when his playing days are over). I wish him all the best at southend. (guess he is there problem now)

We tried, he turned down the moves.

A waste of a talent, should be playing or at least knocking on the door of the Newcastle squad.

Quote Tim Fisher"waste of time Freddie sitting on his arse while he can be playing first team football"What a fecking knob he's been sitting on his fat arse while you've been giving him 8k a week this club is seriously run by pricks.

Interesting how Eastwood has come out and said he hasn't had any injuries.

Thorn has been saying he has been injured and too unfit to play, what happens if he goes straight into Southend and bangs in a few and plays 90 minutes within the next couple of weeks. Surely it makes Thorn look a bit bad if he was actually fit (ish) and not injured.

I still think something is a bit fishy as to why they haven't sacked him if he is too unfit to work and refusing to do his job like is being made out.

Could it have been appearance fee related?

I think you are probable right and he's only scored 18 goals for us maybe if he got to 20 they would of had to buy him a new caravan.

but if thats the case why not loan him out for a minimal fee but say still paying most of his wages..... something is better than nothing surely ?

Dont think we are getting the full story from anyone involved

Why would Bournemouth have wanted him if he was injured and superly unfit?

He was sent to Lilleshall as he was unfit, that has not been disputed. He came back from Lilleshall after a couple of weeks, was told he was not in the Derby Matchday Squad and he stropped off, again thats not been disputed.

Why is a professional footballer acting like this?

Why, when we as a football club are down to our bare bones can he not be bothered to do the very minimum thats required and expected of him?

Why should he play for our club if the manager deems him not fit enough?
Why should he be allowed to set such an example to players such as Thomas, Bigi, Hussey, Clarke and Christie as it may prove to have a detrimental effect on them and the rest of the team?

Why should we even be discussing him as he has not returned one ounce of loyalty afforded to him by our fans?

Lots of promise and talent, unfortunately no application.

I dare say he will go to Southend, I dare say he will score a few. I also dare say his performances will drop once the novelty has worn off / earns a contract somewhere.

I think because they maybe were willing to take the risk on him getting fit and then they would have in there view a good player.

Bit like us taking a player on loan from the prem who hadn't played much, might be a risk, but he could have quality for that level.

I am not a Sisu apologist, however I fail to see how they can be blamed for Eastwoods current contract when it was negotiated by Ranson at a time before they tightened the purse strings.

The club tried to get him to go out on loan however he turned down the move each and every time.

This is the best news for ages. Getting rid of that overweight, lazy, bone idol, thick twat. I cannot believe some fans still cheer him. He has been more than happy to not play and get paid. Fat Waster. Good riddance. I dispise you more than I ever did Kevin Kyle & I never thought that possible!!

Southend fan in peace.
Wish you the best for the season and you stay up. We have a rollercoaster ride over the last few years with endless final appearance in the high court and the chairman find a million quid under the bed at the last minute.

Sorry the Freddy thing didn't work out. And I cant pretend to know where it went wrong.

However, we truly expected to see an overweight Freddy today at training today. We were as surprised as anyone to see that he is lean, fit and apparently in good shape (numerous pictiures on our web site). So much so he is likely to start tomorrow. He also was saying that he's not been injured.

Tbh I think he left Essex for the money and it never worked at Wolves either. He has always said he wanted to come back so I suspect he has been waiting for a free- we could never afford a fee. Until the big money move to Wolves he had never got further than a pony ride from his Basildon site- West Ham, then Grays then Southend. We could only ever see him leaving Southend to go back to West Ham or perhaps another London club- utterly convinced he hadn't looked at a map when he agreed to go to Wolves (his agent probably convinced him it was in north Essex...).

Anywat best of luck.

I think he looks very much out of shape in that picture but in others that have been posted from him in training at Southend not so much. It is hard to tell as it could be just the way his clothes are hanging off him.

On a serious note if he plays today odds are he will score. Then watch the posts on here - we should never have let him go, he'd score 20 goals a year if we played him in his correct position. Can't wait.

Sooo glad he has gone.
Maybe he is fit now, but the fact is he didn't get fit at the start of the season when we needed him.
So I'm glad Thorn never played him.
