Presumably there will be a draw to decide whether we are home or away in the area 2nd leg. Anybody know when it is?

All I can see is that it is a behind closed doors draw at the FL and my guess is not till after the 15th when Crewe play Bradford.

Think away first would very much suit us.

Win away and it'll take the pressure off the home leg. Get the feeling that once more we may well struggle in the home tie.

Yeah I read that the draw will take place behind closed doors too.
Thought that seemed odd really.

I agree about having the away tie first Otis,

But then by the same token, if we were at home first and drew you would still really fancy us in the away leg.

As long as we didn't lose I would still be very confident.

Anyway, as I have been saying constantly since Sheff Utd. our name is on the cup! I can feel it in my bones!

I've already dusted off my Wembley 87 rossette and scarf from the loft in preparation. Bring on the arch!

Skybluelee.
Funny that my wife and I said exactly the same thing about getting up into the loft and getting our flags, paper cuttings, rossette and special scalf down for a clean up.

lol

I bet Villa also thought this!

Are Villa a good away side then?

Just checked and they haven't won away all season, so don't quite see your point.:thinking about:

We are a very good away team, Villa aren't.

Really? I wasn't being difficult, I just know that all the villa fans I know, plus the ones I heard on the radio, were happy they had the away leg first so they could win and take the pressure off the home leg.

Ah yes, but Villa aren't the Sky Blues!

We are away day kings. Villa are deluded pretenders to the crown! :D

Jesus, imagine even thinking of saying that last season!!

Anyway, do we know when the draw is yet?!

EDIT: sorry, just seen! Home at first then. Doesn't matter, we can do this!

so, home first leg then.

Im torn on wether this is a good or bad thing. I know generally we would want to be playing home in the second leg, so we can get back to our place and know what we need to do. But I dont know how confident I am in us at the Ricoh! I like the threat we can have on the counter, and if we can get a win at home - i can see us getting goals on the break against a team going at it to make the deficit back.

Still - would have been nice to have the home leg home second, so if we did make it we would have the celebrations for the Wembley trip!

we need to wim to win at home, cant be any other way

do not want to put pressure on us to win away in a cup semi!

2-0 home then pick teams on counter away

win 5-2 on aggregate!

If we get Bradford, being home will be a good thing, Bradford's crowd helped carry them over v Arsenal and Villa, lets hope we get the home win!

Doesn't bother me home or away first. We just need to be stronger over two legs. All there is to it.

Of course none of this would have been possible if we hadn't been relegated.;).So maybe relegation wasn't the worse thing in the world, and the club is gradually learning how to win again. For years the club and its fans have had a losing mentality,we are gradually learning how to win again. When the winner went in last night, how many fans were thinking ,its only a Paint Pot Cup????
You only had to look on every fan's face after to the game,to realise that winning at any level is still enjoyable.:D
