And in fairness , frank has a couple of absolute top tier level coaches alongside him too which is obviously nice .

I like frank as a person , hes a good honest man and tries his best , im still not 100% about his ability to adapt to changes in games especially away and his subs are even later than robins subs used to be but hes done a good job overall and we are fighting for the premier league again

Been a bit concerned about some recent away performances.
If we are to persist with that high line on our travels we need more genuine pace in the back 4.

Hopefully Milan stays and we sign a left sided equivalent. Given there are rumours a deal with a LB are already done hopefully that's that sorted.

I remember listening to the fans forum DK organised after the Robins sacking. I thought he came over candid and articulate but the abuse from some guy called Moz ? was a disgrace. I wonder what this guy thinks now.

Candid and articulate? King saw his arse over at least two questions and sounded like an arrogant c**t that was born with a silver spoon up his arse.

The comparison that marriages break up too was funny, considering King is a divorced Tory boy in his 50s.

Lampard has done well for us, far better than anticipated, onwards to the play offs rather than trying to re-write history to suit your new narrative.

I'm not at all embarrassed tbh, why would I be ?
We cant always be correct
because of the manner of the tantrums and the vitriol, without even giving it a chance

it’s just a bit of fun i’m obviously on the wind up, but some people do need to take a look at themselves and their reactions to things, it’s not helpful and it’s contagious which inevitably makes things harder and more tense

not necessarily talking you there

The sacking of robins was a highly emotionally charged moment in the club's history.. hes one of our greatest managers .

There was always going to be strong and wrong opinions

In regards to us having a top 6 deck , the squad always showed it had the ability to do well last season and we added to it further this year.

You'd probably have to say though that the reality is the signing of matt grimes at the end of January maybe was enough to get this team over the line into the playoffs in the end
He's done a quality job it's as simple as that. You can t out it down to grimes or lady luck as you put it.

You can't fluke a win percentage like that over 6 months

I think if you are honest you are still reluctant to give lampard too much praise. Maybe out of loyalty to robins? Cos you said he done a good job at stoke for taking relegation to final day. But lampard relied on lady luck to make playoffs? Seems bit bias.

Some weirdos don't get the attachment a lot of us had to a man that saved the club, really strange.

I was thinking back yesterday to some of the crap he took during that and the bone questions. Difficult decision but he pulled the trigger then faced the questions. Even CWR staff were embarrassing really. Credit where it’s due.
Don’t know how anyone can knock the CWR special that night, it was probably the most entertaining non-match related piece of CCFC content in years.

I dont think we finish 5th without the signing of Matt grimes .. nothing wrong with that opinion . Its probably true

That's fine but lampard is the one who wanted him in so he deserves praise for that too. Nothing to suggest king wouldn't have signed anyone in Jan for robins.

Your thoughts about robins stoke praise and lampard lady luck?

As Robins did, FL has done exceptionally well to get us into the play-offs. We have to remember he’s relatively young in managerial terms but he has the hunger and desire to succeed, IMO.

You said lampards good run was mostly down to lady luck. When referencing that our form wasn't great towards end of season

We had some good fortune in our great run , most notably at hillsborough .

Our end of season form was in danger of costing us our playoff spot .. thats also true

All successful teams have those moments over a season

He's done a fantastic job. We been very lucky to have 2 good managers in a row. It doesn't always happen

Sure , my comment on robins was 3 games ago where they were 10th in the table since he'd been there .. which was good for a side who were in danger of relagation .

They've played leeds , Sheffield United and derby since and picked up 1 point .

My comments on frank are in relation to what I watch every week , not because I liked mark robins .

Hes done well

By the way , you exaggerated slightly making out ive come out saying we are just lucky .

King deserves a lot of credit imo. Made a huge decision (probably his biggest in charge of us), took a lot of shit on it, went with his gut when others at the club didn’t want Lampard and backed him in January to get us what he believed we could achieve.

Personally think the bloke is a bit like marmite in that you either love or hate him but hope he’s got some credit in the bank next time he makes a big decision

Tbf our bad run has Leeds sheff utd and Burnley too. Albeit we ain't fighting relegation

Ok that's fair enough. All I'm saying is he still has a bit more convincing to do with you compared to other posters? Think that's fair

I would like to see us improve away and impose our game even Vs physical teams etc so I'm not saying he's the finished article as a manager either.

No he doesn't need to convince me , robins just had several succesful years of credit in the bank , lampard is new and im looking at with fresh eyes .

He is fine when games are going well but struggles to change it when its not

look poor away against teams that are physical and will make it difficult for us

His subs are even later than robins

Our home form is ridiculous under him to be honest and thats more down to us imposing ourselves on teams at home rather than sometimes being more cautious under robins at times , which by the way ask @Brighton Sky Blue I called out several times

Said at the time home form did for Robins. Football is also a business and people were starting to get miserable with what was being served up, crowds would have fallen. Crowd is once again engaged and I would think attendances will trend upwards again next season.
