Can @Mild-Mannered Janitor start a go fund me page with a target of £26m, and SBT put out a press release saying we intend to submit a bid of £26m to buy the stadium. Obviously if we come up short, we can use the proceeds towards purchasing a supply of 'Keep Calm and vote Duggins' tee shirts.

Hmmm. This is the sort of thing that does put the shits up me. I was very much happy with sisu silence as I thought that implied an NDA. Doug hasn’t bought the club yet and now they’re shouting off about bids on the day it all gets decided.

Does very much look like a play to get people on side with a “we tried but we’re done over” trick. Won’t wash this time though.
It feels exactly like that. As I said last night the statement last night was a bit of a box ticking exercising mentioning regeneration and guarantee of a home for the club.

Just listened to the full interview.

Hmmm.

Don’t commit to much on or off the pitch, which could just be how these sorts of people are. Seems to know not a lot at all about the club or the arena in fact.

Willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, but seems a strange one. One encouraging thing is the only thing he’s said about football is no sales in Jan, which is a start.

I wonder if you and I are always destined to be on opposite sides of an argument. I had a listen this morning and thought, "sounds like a right chancer". 😄

I don't know mate, I suspect the one thing we will agree on is that the club feels forever destined to be at the whim of people who, at best, have dubious motives.

Other than our endless disputes, hope you have a good day mate. I better get on and do some work I suppose! 🙂

He sounds like an extrovert Joy.

I don’t get it at all. You don’t buy a club for money, you buy them for love. So that side seems very strange. All my spidey senses are tingling.

But I’m choosing to believe well keep Vik in Jan until proven otherwise and see what plays out over the break.

Nah - anyone who’s in bed with those cunts can’t tell the truth if they wanted to.

I’m out, it’s a ploy.

£25M really isnt alot of money. For a stadium. Its running the beast thats the problem.
Price is relative to the income and the profitability for the yield it can give, we have no idea of the revenue from running the business or the actual profitability but this is where the NEC group, Ashley, King et al would have to see what they can do differently to increase that if it’s failing right now.

Thing is though, *somebody* has to be in bed with these cunts to be able to take over from them. So if it moves the process along, so at the worst future prospective owners are dealing with a different style of person when trying to get things done around the club, that's no bad thing.

Looking for positives here, and not at all saying I disagree with the negatives. One worry about a change of ownership was the impact on Robins who for all her other faults seems to have a good working relationship with Joy. Her sticking around in some capacity and advising should mean that doesn’t change.

One thing is for certain, if this is smoke and mirrors and they've not really sold the club at all, then that is absolutely unforgiveable to fuck with the fanbase like that. They've done a tonne of dodgy shit but that is inexcusable
I mean there is undoubtedly a lot of, none to subtle, smoke and mirrors in this.
Joy’s hand is all over it. She’s basically found an entity to come in and front a bid for the stadium she’s been after for years.
She’s still acting as if she’s in charge.

Do we think Robins knew about about this.

All joking aside, tried it mate, genuinely.

I wrote very politely to the (potential) administrator asking, "if it were possible to develop a supporter-led buy out of ACL, what is the path to involving ourselves in the process?". No reply.

I get that he might have thought that I was having a laugh, but at the same time that's an opportunity missed by the person who is supposed to be looking for the best deal for the creditors.

I would have at least expected, "come back with proof of funds and we'll talk".
