What do we think Doug King’s main priorities should be this summer?

For me, the list would look something like this:

1. Secure the coaching team
New long term contracts for Frank Lampard, Joe Edwards and Chris Jones. Ideally 4–5 years, to give the club stability and continuity.

2. Sign Carl Rushworth permanently
A top quality goalkeeper like Rushworth could be worth at least 10 points next season. Do whatever it takes to get a deal done with Brighton.

3. Improve the squad
Recruit 7–8 players with Premier League quality or potential. Top players will want to play under Frank Lampard, and meeting his ambitions will be key to keeping him at the club.

4. Upgrade the CBS Arena
Make sure the stadium is Premier League ready, and work with the Council and third parties to improve the surrounding area. Longer term, it would be great to see it develop into more of an entertainment district, similar to the area around the Ajax Arena, with hotels, bars and restaurants.

5. Keep improving the training ground
The progress there has been encouraging, but we need to keep raising standards if we want to compete at the next level.

6. Category 1 status for the Academy
Long term, this could be one of the most important investments the club makes.

That’s my list. What would everyone else prioritise?

Bring the train connection back into the CBS arena on match days

Not going to happen for next season. Isn’t the plan 2031 or something for the upgrades needed?

CIBAB it (can’t it be a bus?)

Upgrade to the area would be awesome. Especially if the club had an interest by owning some of the land and/or hotel and bars.

Buy the sports connexion at Ryton

Clear all loans

Secure the Best keeper we can

Think for entertainment district it needs to develop the offering so there’s crowds there more than just match days which is what King has said about making sure there’s live events there regularly. Things like boxing, concerts, esports, exhibitions, etc then you’ve got captive audiences for bars and restaurants. I’m sure we’ll see more but until there’s constant footfall not sure building bars and restaurants is viable, look how ones near by have failed like what’s now PureGym

New hairdryer and mousse.

Serious business now.

Buy the Ice Hockey team. Move them in.

Company my brother works for in Lawford has just despatched 4 pallets of grass seed to CCFC to be delivered to Ryton on Tuesday

Just get on a driver less device, then the CC can get some of their investment on back?👌🫣

Everything apart from no6. Costs a fortune to get Cat 1 academy, lots of Prem teams still dont have it and the pathway to first team is tougher than ever, especially as the big clubs will still take the cream. Be a nice to have if and when we're established, but concentrate on the upgrades, Rushworth & Lampard's team.

FL on a new contract, Rushworth sign on a permanent deal, give FL the coaching staff he wants. Invest in the training facilities and improve the scouting department..

Bring back Gus, Cal, Matty, Ben, Callum, Max, Stuart and Peter.
