1-0 Armstrong

Ricketts gets forward, has Jim and Kent as options, decides to have a go himself, shot blocked, falls to Armstrong who controls well and shoos low into the far bottom corner

Donny have a good chance in the counter from our corner. Vince makes last ditch challenge to conced a corner. Corner cleared to fleck who sends Kent on his way with Armstrong in space, gets the pass he wants, keeper advances, goes for the lob but just goes over. End to end that was!

Great news. McLaren will be sacked before he can bring back AA.

??? Don't see any Coventry connection in Denny's playing career, Mark

Or is he on TM's Xmas shopping list ?

Possibly the least effective half of the season but defence has been excellent

1-0 up at half time, that'll do....for now.

Their problems lie in defending... Can't see how Armstrong going back will help unless he can play centre back

Great to be 1-0 up, been a frustrating half, doncasters shape and packed midfield have stifled us at times.

Great finish for the first, but he should have buried that second chance.

Fleck and vincelot are the difference really. Such a strong midfield pairing. Once Kent and Murphy swapped around we picked up.

Not a foregone conclusion this but we should get more chances as it goes on and theirs a good chance their number 4 will be gone before the end if he's still marking Murphy.

One quick goal after half time and they're done. Take it up to 4th gear boys. PUSB.

They've also failed to score in 50% of their league games....

Hmm, us fans can be clueless at times can't we.

Really pinned back with Doncaster on top and then when had a little bit of possesion a lot of fans were groaning because we weren't going anywhere with the ball.

Fact was, that was exactly what was needed. We needed a spell in possession to regroup, calm things down and regain the advantage. Keeping possesion was exactly the right thing to do.

Well done City and TM I say, for nullifying the Donny threat and turning the game back in our favour.

All that possession led to some very inventive play only minutes later.

No more groaning please. TM knows what he's doing.

That the possible pen challenge? If so, I said 'oooh fucking hell' at the time as it looked close!

The tiniest of touches led to a very, very theatrical dive. Think that always makes refs doubt.

Apparently, RV struck Tyson with an elbow, Tyson had to go off with a bloodied nose. Couldn't have been too bad as he came back on, bandaged up.
