Don't forget the patriotic assaulting of the police. Nothing says "I love my country" more than a pissed up brawl with a copper...

lots of chants of “bring back the church” and “christ is king”

i expect they will be in Church tomorrow morning.

Absolutely. The only time those fuckers have ever prayed is at the racetrack when they needed a win to afford the bus fare home.

In fairness, they're waving a flag celebrating a brown chap from Palestine, and chanting loudly to support another. Maybe they're just confused.

A Mamdani type would be ignored for being ‘hard left’ probably.

You don’t ignore that level of charisma regardless of their politics. Point is we don’t have anything close to that. The fact Clive Lewis is leading the charge says it all.

Of course he did, that doesn't mean anything.
We’ll see, all the omens for Starmer do not look good and the temerity of a backbencher to call out a PM like this 1 year into government is telling.

The ‘kiss of death’ is when the media asks a PM ‘will you be standing in the next election?’

Jacob Rees-Mogg admitted publicly when asked this of Boris that he (and other cabinet ministers) that he was toast.

Boris Johnson expelled half the party for rebelling three months into his time as PM.

Ed Milliband had Corbyn and McDonnell giving interviews saying they’d bring his government down before an election.

Was on the way back from the match driving down Radford Road. Saw a young girl in a hijab being clocked by a middle aged guy. Next thing he's in her face screaming at her to 'fuck off where you came from'.

Fortunately a couple of lads came out of the shop and intervened but it was pretty shocking and sad to see. It's one thing when you're scrolling on socials, whole other thing when you're seeing it happening in your home city.

Facial recognition not being used, low arrest numbers despite the Met saying "a number of officers have been assaulted", "they faced unacceptable violence" and "They were assaulted with kicks and punches. Bottles, flares and other projectiles were thrown". Throwing projectiles at police horses as well.

Is this the two tier policing I keep hearing about?

Before he faced the electorate in 2019. Do you think Starmer could do this?

The big thing in Starmer’s favour right now is that there is no ‘safe-seat’ for Burnham to stand in.

It's pretty difficult to imagine a worse scenario McSweeney doing a hatchet job from the inside.
If khan doesn't get the ambassador role expect him to challenge!🤔😂

Ok, so you were driving, but slow enough to see her, clock the assailant, see and hear what was said, hang around enough time for two lads to come out of the shop, they intervened despite having not witnessed it, you cowardly said nothing drove away (well you couldn't as it was in your head I suppose) and posted it on here. Amazing how its those who want a few likes that always see this stuff, I've never in my 53 years heard that .... as Del says, can you smell sheep? Cows? ...

It's going to blow your mind when you hear of this invention called traffic lights. The whole thing took place in seconds, what do you want me to do when it's already been sorted. Abandon the car in the middle of Radford Road to go and give them a handshake :ROFLMAO:

No after he did. The election was July and he expelled all the rebels in September IIRC.

Backbenchers complaining isn’t new man. With all due respect you act like you’ve not been following politics very long. You seem to believe everything the opposition or disgruntled MPs say. Lewis is an SCG member with the Greens in second place in his seat of course he’s going to be the one to make the noises.

Hundreds of MPs owe Starmer their seat, and that also means hundreds haven’t built up a profile or a power base to mount a challenge. There’s no appetite among members for a change. You’ve been banging this drum for ages but it really does just come across as what you want. Same as the ridiculous IMF bailout stuff and stuff about Reeves and Milliband. It’s just repeating whatever you’ve seen in the right wing press.

Short of a PartyGate style scandal, Starmer is likely to be PM for the next four years. No matter how much Farage and Musk or indeed the left of Labour whine about it.

Go on then further the story, lights at the crossing? That side you'd have only heard if they'd come from Betfred and you'd have said bookies not shop. Just admit it's made up ffs. Desperate.

T junction, come on get with it man.👏
Be facing the wrong way and couldn't have heard other side of the road. Its obvious bollocjs. Im not engaging again though, he'll obviously double down and keep it going.

Amazing how much racism, homophobia and misogyny these white straight males always hear but do nothing about.

Yeah fair cop you've got me. I was so high after the dizzying thrill of the game I've hallucinated the whole thing.

It being made up is definitely far more likely than considering the possibility that there could possibly even be one single racist in the city.

Blokes clearly a c**t, apparently doesn't 26 years in prison previously and guess he'll be heading back.

My question though, why do they always find bellends like this to promote, Almost to try and show you all those in attendance as if they're one nasty voice. Go and speak with the moderates not the newsworthy soundbites, understand why they’re in attendance and what measures they'd suggest or how things can be improved. The narrative thrown around doesn’t help anyone improve things.

Well I presume they speak to absolutely loads of people during the day.

But when someone says something like this it's obviously going to get pushed and have a lot of attention.

There's presumably some much more sensible interviews out there, but this kind of thing is going to get the clicks.

Exactly. That's what its all about. All sides scoring cheap points and why we'll never get any sensible resolution.

Maybe he could run against Rayner 🤣
On current polling, Reform wins that seat iirc…

Reform winning Runcorn was shocking because it was hitherto considered a Labour a safe seat. There isn’t a constituency Labour can parachute Burnham into knowing he’ll win with ease.

If you were at the game today, did anyone else hear the ‘Keir Starmer’s a wanker chant?’ In a Labour safe seat (all 3 Cov seats), that’s pretty damning.

No one knows how this government comes to an end. However, there’s a toxic mix for this government; a PLP that feels browbeaten by Starmer’s top team, a worsening economic climate and a widespread belief that Starmer is no longer a winner. Therefore, they won’t support any unpopular policies the government will put forward.

No after he did. The election was July and he expelled all the rebels in September IIRC.

The 2019 general election was in December btw.

Starmer will not last the full term and this isn’t even something that’s limited to the RW press.

Look, I’m not going to throw around petty insults like you because we’ll see who’s right in the coming months/years. The government is in a mess already and that’s the feeling in the PLP. We’re just over 1 year into the parliament and it’ll get worse as it does for most governments.

The Labour MPs you mention who ‘owe’ their seats to Starmer is nonsense. On 33% of the popular vote, it was lowest % popular vote for a majority government in our lifetimes. They know the split in Reform and Tory cost the Tories 100-150 seats which gave Labour its super-majority. Now Reform has supplanted that vote share and whilst Labour is polling at sub-20%, under pressure from the Greens, LD and Your Party… A GE on the current numbers would be a bloodbath for Labour voters on a scale larger than 2019 and the PLP knows this. You don’t seem to have cottoned on.
