David Lammy wasn’t in possession of a fishing permit when he went casting the other day apparently.
Can only be one outcome after this, his latest ‘gaffe’.
Resign immediately.
AND STOP REELING!
Gaffe aside, the bloke is a joke. Slagging off Trump but silent as a Lammy when in the same room. Now cosying up to Vance who sings from the same hymn sheet. If he had any integrity he'd have resigned as FS when Trump was elected. Principles / scruples seem to have gone out the window with this clown.

They're saying flying any flags is potentially dangerous. Presumably on the grounds they could come loose and obscure a driver's view.
It's difficult, even distract a driver,or any furniture which is getting pretty overloaded locally but then you get issues like trees be that cropping or removal, then getting told new ones planted are a vital part of the environment at moments like this heatwave, which doesn't feel like a heatwave for the last day or two?

It seems to be a recurring theme in Starmer's Labour.

Absolute bollocks, that would never happen
I think 'never' is probably overstated but it does seem a very long stretch. More likely is the council have a policy of not allowing anything as it could set precedents and become difficult to draw a line over what was acceptable or not.

People could always petition to have flags safely put up by the council i suppose.

Also, it says in the article:

"Highway staff will now remove all flags attached to lampposts as they prepare to upgrade the city's streetlights.

To carry out these improvements, lamp columns need to remain free from attachments, including flags, the council said."

Can't even delay infrastructure improvements these days without being called racist. Country's gone.

As long as they get put back after then I can’t see any issues, we should have our flags flying

Apparently flying our own flags is putting lives at risk now

Nothing to do with what the flag is, its attaching anything to lamposts without authorisation that could be considered a distraction to motorists.

Although the rules seem to apply randomly. Can't have advertising on the side of the skydome arena because it would be too distracting but the council want to put electronic ads up around the ring road.
