Zawahi says it's a handsome victory

Also says Zelensky will be punching the air at that result. These pricks have no shame.

You think Zelensky will be punching the air?

Zahawi is a government minister, his job is to say the ludicrous with a straight face - you'd expect nothing else. Doesn't necessarily mean he believes it himself.

The longer he lasts the worse it'll be for the Tories.

Constant in-fighting while people struggle to put food on the table will not go down well.

As I said I quite enjoyed a sensible political chat - which was well above your level - bit now we are back to snarling angry rhetoric

Why not stay off these threads for a few days and educate yourself rather than spit and snarl with cliched drivel?

You won’t - it’s funny as judging from PMs most people left of centre are embarrassed and believe you are rather / shall we say - basic and not an asset to their cause

His whole mantra is to never resign and wait for it to blow over. Now he's immune for another year there's a good chance he's over the worst of it

Yeah, he’s a dishonest, work shy chancer. So worse is yet to come from him. He’s facing a parliamentary enquiry into whether he lied to parliament. I doubt he’s going to come out of that well.

You accuse me of snarling angry rhetoric after posting the below?

You are unhinged. Genuinely.

He's done for. Don't know how long it will drag on for, but he's finished.

How many times have people said 'he surely can't survive this', and yet he has and just carries on safe in the knowledge that his own party hasn't got the bottle to get rid of him. And without that there is no removing him.

Well that's the narrative now for all opposition parties, the Tory party supports and endorses that behaviour, lying and entitlement, one rule for them one for everyone else.

Well if you look at what's happened since he became PM:

Proroguing Parliament and lying to the Queen
Sending people infected with COVID back into care homes
Mass corruption handing out billions in contracts to friends of the party
Defending Cummings' 'eye test'
Partying up while students were being fined 10 grand and funeral goers were banned from even comforting grieving relatives
A terrible Brexit deal that has put NI into chaos

He doesn't care-and throughout his life he has only ever put himself first

It’s give him 12 months. I would be surprised if he resigned in the interim. I would also be surprised if there’s a fresh confidence vote in 12 months time, too near to a GE to rock the boat again. I suspect many Tories will end up regretting their vote tonight come the next GE.

Yeah but this is the first time a huge chunk of his MPs are against him. That's the difference.

They're only against him now because they fear for their jobs, but still.

Not enough of them. A huge number, but still not enough-and a good number of them only owe their jobs to his charlatan 2019 campaign in the first place.
