Mandleson never actually had a reputation worth protecting - it’s ironic as this is exactly the kind of reasoning Johnson would project

Poor judgement throughout. Appointing someone with numerous dodgy financial scandals in their past before they've passed vetting - surely Starmer's experience as a lawyer should have had alarm bells ringing in his head when apppointing someone with Mandelson's history. Or maybe they thought someone with a dodgy financial past would fit in nicely with Trump's mindset.

I wonder when we’ll learn respect once again

And what the consequences are going to be due to a lack of integrity in our organisations

The lack of integrity is in the parliamentary Labour party. You vote for them.

I’m pretty sure it’s in all parties and I’m not even sure the Labour Party is the worst

I mean all institutions and I blame greed unaccountability for those in power

You have described Starmer as a man of integrity. All we see is Boris Johnson without the humour or loyalty to his team around him

He was actually bought down in the end as he didn’t want to fire Pincher. He has a long history of not firing people he considered his allies. He clung onto Cummings for far too long.

Starmer has literally threw everyone under the bus.

The biggest revelation today is that Starmer was trying to get Michael Doyle a top job in the foreign office and specifically briefed the civil service not to tell David Lammy. Another crony he then appointed to the lords and then disowned him when unfortunate friendships with a convicted sex offender was revealed.
