I mean, it's a good soundbite! It's just not completely true, really.

17 years ago, under a labour government, when my son was born, my missus had to leave work as it cost more to pay for childcare than what she made in wages. It was a David Cameron, Tory Government that upped the free childcare to 30 hours so when my daughter was born, she was able to go back to work and we were better off in our pocket for it.

It was also the same David Cameron government that upped the 20% ceiling from £42k a year to £50k, meaning middle wage earners could earn more before hitting the 40% tax bracket

They also upped the personal income tax from £10.5k to £12.5k, meaning low earning households can earn more before paying tax, and that people who have a low wage topped up by benefits who work part time could earn more aswell.

If i could be bothered to research it, I could probably find more, but these are issues that I know of because they all immediately affected me and my family/situation. And as a family, we were better off under that Cameron/Tory Government money wise, than the previous Labour government (which I voted for at that time).

Im not the only one who disbelieves the lunar landings, and I'll challenge anyone who can be bothered to, to go look at the evidence.

When I was studying for my degree (donkeys years ago) the academics would never be drawn on the subject. To go against the mainstream teaching would of been career ending.

Whenever subjects like the Van Allan radiation belts came up, and we'd start asking about the Apollo 11 mission, the professors would just smile and move the subject on. They knew the score, but could not talk about it.

Not really, I think he was just very wise to not get drawn into the debate.

Some people just won't accept the truth.
And that's fine if they are happy believing what they are happy with.

Although the people who believe in the moon landings usually believe the pyramids of Giza where burial tombs for Egyptian kings too

It was only the other day people were questioning how Angela Rayner was able to afford two houses.

I guess some people aren't allowed to work hard and earn good money.

Turns out she afforded it by pricing her house at double on the street of all the others and selling a share to her child's fund. Working hard.

People were questioning how she could afford her properties on her income
(Not that its any of their business as long as the tax man has been paid his cut)

But it transpires that her disabled son was awarded a substantial damages award from the NHS, (£162,500) and its been suggested that the financial award was used to help her buy property.

(She may also of had further financial help, like inheritance perhaps, but there isnt any claims of financial impropriety as yet as far as I know)

If these houses she's bought are 100% legit and above board, then why has she quit her role? Why not stay in her job and be completely open and honest about where what has come from and how she's paid for it and how she hasn't fiddle anything?
The fact she left her post says a million words to me. None louder or clearer than "GUILTY"! Otherwise she'd prove everyone wrong and would still be in her job

It's the stamp duty that is the issue and reason for resigning.

I don't believe having money or owning two houses is a resigning issue, as much as some people seem to have a problem with it.
