Reform UK is rapidly becoming much more mainstream as 42% of voters are either already supporting the party or open to it, according to a new mega-poll.
A survey of 5,000 people has uncovered that Nigel Farage’s party is now drawing in the average Briton instead of people on the political margins.

Such bad news but oh well
The world will be changing

What is shows is immense dissatisfaction with the mainstream, even the LibDems and Greens are inching up as Labour and Tory fall. I certainly will never vote for Lab ever again and I did so consistantly from the late 70s up to the time Jim Cunninghan retired. I regard myself as politically homeless and if I vote at all it will be as a protest vote.

Listened to an interesting podcast the other day with John Burn-Murdoch from the FT who was arguing that the share of people who are totally oblivious to politics has shrunk partly due to social media, and that has helped parties like Reform with people who would otherwise respond ‘Don’t Know’ to political surveys etc

How is it fraud? Are the police investigating.

Playing the disability card as a reason for buying a second home and not declaring it is very desperate.

People falling for a message with no real substance behind it. Reform conference will be interesting to see what emerges as policy on issues other than immigration. At the moment it seems like the Brexit referendum - a lot of noise with no policy behind it

She and her husband had the old one adapted. Since the divorce, they share it to care for him. If they had local authority funding to fund the adaptations, you can't usually sell the house for a fair few years afterwards as a condition of the funding.

Situation has been handled poorly and whether it was intentional to pay less than she should have, think it'll be hard to keep her in post. What's boiling my p*ss is framing it as some kind of property empire building with aggressive tax planning. Total b*ll*cks.

They're absolutely fucking useless under the slightest hint of any pushback or accountability.

See this latest nonsense from Tice who says Starmer is no better than Kim Jong Un because some people were locked up for *checks notes* breaking the law:

Not sure what that's got to do with anything I posted, and I expect she'll go, which doesn't bother me a whole lot. Just not having the idea that it's all an evil scheme to accumulate wealth. You'll disagree, I can live with that.

People going on about hypocrisy but the different levels of reporting are off the scale. Several days of front pages about Raynor's 'property empire' which consists of a family home for a family going through divorce, a property she doesn't own and just gets use of while in post as did everyone before her, and a flat in Brighton.

Struggle to have much outrage that the deputy PM can afford to buy a flat.

Why is the tax payer funding this when they're clearly quite well off and can easily afford it themselves.

Don't know, don't really care. No clue if she or they are well off vs. your normal MP or minister. Just pointing out that you can't sell a house for a while if you've had funding which seems a more logical explanation for why they still own it than the 'its all about grabbing money!' angle.

It’s not evil. It’s an attempt to mitigate tax liability through a trust. Ironically something Rachel Reeves is trying to stamp out.

The taking money out has everything to do with it as it immediately becomes a ROB
