The main difference for me other than the fact one admitted it and plead guilty is that there’s no expectation of violence as there’s afaik zero recorded instances of violence against right wing protesters that I’m aware of, however Connolly was egging on actually ongoing violence that was happening at that time.

What has that got to do with the question?

The meme answered the question. The rest was me just riffing. What did your question have to do with my post for that matter?

The article you posted had no mention of the NF aspect and said he was talking about the protestors, which sounds as though it didn’t actually happen, according to the trial.

The mail article references the defendant’s claim which was his comments were about the NF and their train stickers; it says a further video clip suggests an alignment with this.

It was, and that video was released back at the start of all this.

It was clipped down to make it look like he said he wanted to cut the throats of women and children. I remember pointing out on here at the time that's not what he was saying.

Still lucky to avoid jail though.

In case anyone isn’t aware, “razor blades behind stickers” is a left wing urban myth that’s never been proven to be true but is always levelled at any non left group putting stickers up. If you think it though it doesn’t even make sense as a tactic.

Ive no doubt someone told him it if he didn’t make it up himself but anyone who has been in activist circles should know what it is by now really.

The UK is still one of the most desirable places to move to in Europe because it is seen as prosperous and offers better career prospects than other countries. People are always going to want to move to places where they can better their lives, it's part and parcel of being a country than can offer a better quality of life. This has also benefited the country and allowed it to prosper over the decades.

As someone who lived in London, moved to another country for a few years and then moved back to London, it’s way less scuzzy than it used to be. Gentrification brings its own problems, and obviously London’s progress is very different from other UK cities, but it’s had a noticeable upgrade over the past couple of decades (probably because I left)

I lived in Deptford in the early 2000s and it's changed a bit since then!
