And that generation are more aware of what is coming up. The generation following them seem to largely have a I won't be able to save enough or put enough in a pension so why bother attitude. We really just need to bite the bullet, raise taxes and sort this stuff. I dread to think what some people I know in their mid forties with zero savings or pension contributions or property are going to do in twenty years time.
How did Khan get a ticket for the cup final, not sure he liked football .
Anyway here’s the odds for the next PM
fuck me, that list is depressingAnyway here’s the odds for the next PM
He didn’t look interested to me, why didn’t he give it to charity? Are you seriously asking how the Mayor of London got a ticket to the FA Cup final?
Who else is there?fuck me, that list is depressing

Yes, Kemi isn’t cutting through. This happens once a cycle. People forget how betting markets work and that the current PM can’t be the next PM. I’d be seriously worried if I were Badenoch that her odds are the same as someone never likely to be PM.
What number party will you be on when you make the leap? 4?At some point there may be defections from Tory - Reform.
Can't imagine her still being leader by the next election, she's fucking useless. Gets absolutely done by Starmer every week at PMQs and he isn't exactly great at it.This happens once a cycle. The next by-election (Ipswich?) will be telling if a Tory seat flips to Reform.
There’s talk of wheeling out Boris, but again, I think that that’d be an incorrect read of the room.
In 2019 Farage wasn’t in Westminster and now he is.
At some point there may be defections from Tory - Reform. That’ll be the pivot point.
Be the big man and give it away, he’d be more respected don’t you think? Good headlines for him?Why should he?
Ges mayor of one of the major cities on the planet it’s a fucking corpo ticket at Wembley if it’s not for him who the fuck is it for?
People so desperate to be offended.
No one would care and it’s a non-story anyway.Be the big man and give it away, he’d be more respected don’t you think? Good headlines for him?

Andy Burnham will be mortified that he doesn't feature. How did Khan get a ticket for the cup final, not sure he liked football .

Bumped into Andy Street when we played Luton, didn't think to ask if he'd paid for his ticket. Referred to us a "you" so presume he was on a freebie.Andy Burnham will be mortified that he doesn't feature.
Will taking more tax of those people now actually help them in twenty years? We really just need to bite the bullet, raise taxes and sort this stuff. Reform saying they don’t want ex Tories.Yes, Kemi isn’t cutting through.

Because he is an arse and other cities seem to like copying his initiatives. Why do people who don’t live in London get so wound up by Sadiq Khan?

Like what initiatives?Because he is an arse and other cities seem to like copying his initiatives.
Braverman will give it one more go at a leadership bid before jumping. Her husband is a Reform member; it’s not a huge leap of presumption as to where she’d go.The only space for them I see is a centre right party which doesn’t really exist and they don’t have the talent to pull off anyway. I’d expect to see the more headbanger types like Braverman defect and most of the rest of their seats go Lib Dem or Reform. Only five years ago people were talking about Boris being unstoppable and dominating politics for a generation. Fascinating how things change. Will be interesting to see what the new split is. I don’t think on the left you’ve got the numbers for a corbynite version of Reform, someone’s got to be the sensible party. But you can’t sustain three parties in this system.
Andrea Jenkyns?Reform saying they don’t want ex Tories.
Jacob Rees-Dogg?PMSL, no name as yet.

Why do people who don’t live in London get so wound up by Sadiq Khan?
Also a little weird imo, although Johnson was obviously a much more prominent figure in national politics before he became mayor. So no one ever outside London got wound up by Boris Johnson when he was Mayor?

As for “the left” and Corbyn, he’s a symbol of the real divide of modern politics: Isreal or Palestine.
If you genuinely thought it was this country’s defining political question I’d have at least expected you to be able to spell both sides correctly.the real divide of modern politics: Isreal or Palestine.
