To state the obvious, that's because he actually is - you'd know this if you met him/had dealings with him.

And he's oh so cool / cooky / unconventional that he'll be wearing that baseball cap and his shirt outside of his arse trousers even when he's pissing himself in a care home.

The biggest question really for Johnson is why he even employed him. I suspect Campbell was in some respects worse but at least he had some kind of political vision and gravitas

This guy is just a weak willed sociopath- imagine him even existing in Thatchers day. The likes of Lawson and Tebbit would have met him in a corridor and kicked the fuck out of him. It shows how poor politics now is that freaks like him are even employed in senior positions

I see a 4th CLP has passed a vote of no confidence in Keir Starmer with other constituencies organising votes.

I don't think he will be the leader come September.

Yep it makes zero odds who is LOTO right now. Starmer, Corbyn, Mr Blobby. Doesn't matter.

Johnson and the government are teflon right now as we have seen with the shit they are getting away with. Brexit and vaccine bounce.

It needs a few years for it all to unravel and for reality to bite the working class. Then is the time for the LOTO to go on the attack, not now.

Which is a point Cummings made. He said it was madness he was given such a prominent position. And until he got sidelined for Princess Pushy and decided to detonate the explosives a lot of people knew, or at least heavily suspected were there, you were hardly saying how shit he was. Now he's bashing the Tories of course he's just another nut.

For what it's worth I think, and also have done, that he's a chancer who had enough dirt on people to shut them up for a fair while. Weird thing is some of the things he said I already suspected, yet now he's said them I'm questioning whether it's true. That's how little credibility I think he has. But someone it's still way more than the likes of Gove, hancock and esp Johnson.

I essentially agree, and the inquiry should be kicked off now. But I repeat, Cummings has told us nothing that we didn't already know, other than learning of his hilarious hatred of Hancock. Cummings couldn't have discredited himself more if he'd tried.

Cumming is just as bad as Johnson, Hancock and co.

You’ve said it yourself, it’s a reflection of how poor politics is, including having someone like Johnson as PM.

It's pretty clear why the story about Cummings visiting Barnard Castle was leaked now isn't it

Johnson should be in the dock for gross negligence and outrageous corruption on his watch. Instead he will probably get 600 seats in 2024. There should be a penalty for incompetence not a great reward

You can’t go on about Cummings being a reflection of how bad it is and then defend Johnson, it’s nonsense.
Imagine your response if Corbyn had overseen the highest amount of Covid deaths in Europe.

It isn’t empty rhetoric. A decade of incompetent governance was rewarded with a bumper majority because a clown kept repeating a 3 word slogan. When the clown gets in and allows 130,000 to die because of his own incompetence and allows friends of his party to raid the public purse during a pandemic, his numbers go even higher. Then you have disastrous appointments like Williamson and Hancock whose continued employment defies belief

The role of a PM these days I’d say makes him a good choice which is why he’s tonking Starmer in the polls. Clearly he will learn a lesson over this.

10 countries in Europe have worse deaths per one hundred thousand than the U.K. should those leaders be in the dock as well

I’ve actually always scoffed at nonsense like dragging Blair to The Hague for war crimes - it’s pathetic and I’d say the same regarding Corbyn

No the Pm role clearly is more CEO than MD - you only have to look at recent history - the two who took the role as more earnestly - Brown and May - were badly received in the public at election time

Yawn - he’s not going to be locked up. Should the EU leaders be locked up for their shambolic vaccine strategy and incompetent procurement process? People on here at the time were slaughtering this government for not joining that and going it alone.

That went well

People aren’t oblivious to the reality they’re just frustrated by it. Wales looks more appealing by the minute, never thought I’d say that
