Had to set a quiz at work today, one question might help take peoples mind off the grim reality of being a Cov fan for a few minutes.

feel free to add your own questions.

  1. 1992–93 was the inaugural season of the FA Premier League, can you correctly identify the teams finishing positions by shirt sponsor alone? (a point per correct team name in correct position)

Got them all - but OK I cheated.

What find surprising is how much the league has changed and I don't remember Villa finishing that high but that is probably selective memory!

Bloody hell, Wimbledon! Should’ve got that.

And damnit, I put Blackburn first but I remembered Newcastle having that sponsor too and remember Blackburn beating Leicester in a play off final. Thought that was in the first year of the prem but obviously I was wrong... it’s been known!

Newcastle must have won Div 1 (champ) that year I think. Blackburn were building to win the league a few years later

Bizarre to think in that season we had one of the more international sponsors while other teams have fly swatters and a local solicitor or whatever else.

yeah Newcastle did cracking in their first year!

Oh yeah Swindon Town got up with Glen Hoddle as player manger in a sweeper role, he fecked off like Jimmy hill did to us as soon as they went up

Mathieu Manset for C, looking at that list of clubs it's a mystery he didn't get in the team ahead of Callum Wilson.
