BUT within ten minutues of watching McGoldrick play (and wilson) you can tell they have quailty. I didnt see any of this yesterday.
Well first time I saw Wilson play I thought he looked incredibly raw and I didn't see much quality coming out that day.
But in saying that NW, you have to give new players a chance to gel and fit into systems and that takes games. 7 debuts for us yesterday. Sometimes these things take time and therefore you have to give a number of games for to give everything chance to work. Unless of course it is clearly apparent he hasn't got a clue what he's doing.
We are a club that is in decline,, that is a fact and with the squad getting weaker each season unless something changes with the decision makers we will carry on downward.. One game means nothing but a pattern in the way you lose is the same as a pattern in the way the club is ran brings people to see only one way..
We concede far to many goals and lose in the same manner, it's not a judgement on 1 game or even a judgement on the other team it's the pattern that's scary..
How many debuts did Bradford have yesterday? Maybe 5-6? They seemed to gel ok......
Thorn was given two games at this level with the same amount of squad upheaval.
Not saying Thorn was worth keeping, but you seem to be willing to give Pressley the benefit of the doubt when he's got a win % about the same as Coleman.
At the moment the guys record is: awful when taking over. Good with Wilson and Clarke up front for about 4 months. Awful again.
Like I've said before. I don't think we can do much better, but I'm starting to ha serious doubts about not just his transfer policy but also his tactical nouse.

5. Jordan Pickford (Keeper), Gary Liddle, Alan Sheehan, Billy Knott and Billy Clarke

But not all teams gel at the same time do they. Some sides take much longer to gel than others. Just cos Bradford gelled doesn't mean that we should have instantly too.
IMO Pressley needs to be stuck with regardless of results. In Pressley I believe we have a manager who is trying to build the club up from the bottom. Why would we be better getting rid and getting an another manager who views it as just a job?

And this is indeed the best argument for keeping him. He does, at least, seem to see the 'bigger picture' wrt the football side of the football club.

Very true, unfortunately most fans only care about the latest first team results not the structure of the football club, even if it will benefit us in the medium to long term.
He is managing under even worse off field problems than Thorn. You have to make the best of the hand you're dealt and he hasn't been dealt a great one.
I look at things this way...What is the common denominator in ALL of the managers over the last 7
years?..................SISU...I'll say no more!

Bradford are one of the weakest teams in the division based on? I don't predict them going up or anything but another top half finish isn't too hard to believe.
Remember last year when we were all buzzing about a win vs Bristol who were one of the strongest teams in the league.
Because im not a manager , doesnt mean my eyeballs dont work ,im positive that at 442 or 451 , we would have won yesterday ,bradford are a very average team , we made them look good , the formation saw to thatblaming it on the formation is to suggest you know more than the manager, seems much more likely to be that when you cut the budget massively last year and then cut it by 60% again this year thats going to have a serious impact on the size and quality of the squad. He's had to decimate the squad twice now and attempt to recruit in an impossible situation.
