Yes we need an independent inquiry. I can't see it happening though. And until it does or the truth comes out in a different way I would prefer to believe Higgs/CCC. I am struggling to think of a lie that has come from them......and I am struggling to think of any truth that has come from SISU other than moving us to Northampton and litigation. Yet I am supposed to believe and trust them the same and because of this be called pro ACL.

Yep. It's as stupid as me being called pro Sisu. Or anyone for that matter. To be honest I think their are 2 viewpoints.

1. Those who hate Sisu.
2. Those who hate Sisu and ACL.

Very few fall outside that.

I personally find those in group 1 very frustrating as they are least likely to look at all options. They only seem interested in any action against Sisu and dismiss things that could help bring ccfc back because they suggest some party other than sisu may need to take action.

A third viewpoint actually, which probably describes my feelings most:

3. Don't give a shit about sisu, ACL or council and just want club back in Coventry.

What put me against SISU was that each time that they said what they wanted they changed their minds each time and moved the goalposts. At first it was all about the rent. And when there seemed to be an offer that we thought they would be happy with it was all about the pie money. When they seemed to have got an offer of reduced rent and pie money it was all about the freehold. And not just the freehold but all contracts paid up as well. There is no way that this can happen and they know it. It would cost CCC more than SISU seem to want to pay. And we are left in Northampton whilst this game is played out. Joy even admitted that she wants to make money for her investors.

I'm sorry but I can't see any good in what they are doing. Timothy even said that the ground won't be owned by our club. If they do get the Ricoh I fear that we will be worse off than Leeds. This is nothing to do with ACL.

Can anyone see any kind of happy ending for us?

No i fear this will go all the way to the bitter end. No new ground that is fantasy by sisu. And the Ricoh ownership will drag on and on with appeal and counter appeal if they win the JR

You'll probably get in the weeks leading up to the JR "losing side should respect JR decision" from both sides.

Then when one side loses the JR they'll appeal it.

I have a personal hatred of Sisu, but as a CCFC fan all I want is them to do the right thing.

As much as you bleat about "everyone's to blame" all I ever see is vague accusations that anyone who disagrees is a plant and repetition that "everyone's to blame". Knowls council protest thread is a great example. Several people asked what the protest would be about and the best anyone could come up with is "yeah but the council".

Constantly repeating that it's not all Sisu isn't productive at all. We have some very clear demands that Sisu can meet. I'm not sure we have the same for others.

If you (or Michael or limoncello) want to accuse someone of astroturfing name names and lay out your evidence otherwise you're just spreading FUD for no good reason.

Funny how when its facts that are argued the anti-council bunch are nowhere to be seen. Just pop into threads to repeat their mantra then fuck off. At best you get factual inaccuracies like "the council spent taxpayer money" or "ACL is going bust" both of which are just parroting the bullshit Labovitch spouts.

It's nothing about who loves the club more it's about what actually works and who can achieve that.

Whoever wrote this statement gets my respect how can we criticise any party involved who welcomes a non staged managed grilling over this matter (speaks volumes)

No he's just grandstanding.

Fisher and labowitch have signed the petition - just without silly fanfares and protestations on here.

So what is there to stop it from happening? We don't need to wait for any certain amount of signatures now. And if anyone don't turn up we will know who is at fault.

Everyone of sound mind knows who is at fault, as you posted earlier those strange folk who come on lambasting the council don't seem to be able to list a series of points as to exactly what they have done wrong in all of this?!

Same here. On the face of it everytime they've asked for something they have been offered it by ACL and then changed what they wanted or tried to make out its not as it seems or not really what they asked for until they've reached a point of asking for something unachievable.

The only thing that seem to get levelled at the council are that the rent was too high which ignores what we were told by PWKH (that CCFC got the deal they wanted and other sliding scale deals were offered) and the fact that the council aren't ACL so didn't set the rent anyway and that we don't get the matchday renveues ignoring the fact we sold those to Higgs.

At best, my opinion is anything that can be blamed on CCC is historical and not a reflection of how CCC are operating now.

Every party and individual will have their own motives for signing, and it makes sense for all sides to sign up, otherwise it may look to the outside world that a party had something to hide or were the key factor in the issue. Puts the FL under the spotlight - they haven't signed, and are not really in position to do so.

See, this is what you really don't get. There are very few facts out there. I guess we will have to wait and see when actual evidence comes out. Putting pressure on all sides is not about blame. Please please please try to get that into your head. Blame at this stage is important. What is needed is for all sides to sit down in the same room, maybe with an independent mediator, to fix the problem. This is why pressure is needed on all sides. And that includes the football league.

Other than that its all very cloak and dagger. Offers through third parties and lots of mudslinging.

The thing is, things changed when the council/ACL tried to force a change of ownership of the club. It was not their place to do so. I can understand why sisu do not want to work with them anymore.

Didn't things change when SISU stopped paying rent and then revealed that the company that had the lease was a very different company than everyone had previously understood?

I can understand why ACL might have lost trust in them as a business partner.

This "council/ACL trying to force a change of ownership" theory. Would someone please explain when and how this was done?

The theory all seems to stem from reports that PK4 had a meeting with the council. To me that doesn't put the council in the frame for trying to force a change of ownership. If I was looking to buy CCFC and / or the Ricoh I would more than likley request a meeting with CCC and ACL but it would be a big jump to assume that meant they were trying to force the current owners out and put me in their place.

Thanks, chiefdave. It seems to me that turning a meeting between PH4 and the council into 'trying to force a change of ownership' needs a huge stretch of the imagination.

It was SISU that said this happened. It was SISU that have said a lot of things that have no truth behind it.

How would they know that something happened if they were not there when it was supposedly said?

How on gods earth can a fan trying to do their best for the rest of us turn into the usual Sisu Acl bullshit, instead of coming up with ways of spreading the word to the 300k cov residents it goes straight to the usual by the usual suspects. Personally I really hope you get it to go viral and truly appreciate the effort your putting in, has anyone thought about getting a flyer made up and getting it posted. I'm sure the reason more people from coventry haven't bothered is simply cause they don't know about it, let's not forget not everyone spends their time on forums like this.
