Pastor Niemoller wrote, before being killed by the Nazis:

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me--and there was no one left to speak for me.

Oh good gracious, are you really arrogant enough to compare yourself to Nazi victims? This is an unpleasant, completely bathetic and non nonsensical. comparison.
Who exactly do YOU "speak for" eh PK??

I find it very strange that the vast majority get the point of his post whereas someone who is very vocal on backing SISU's plans to get the Ricoh on the cheap can make out it is all about Nazi's.

Because it is ill judged grandstanding and actually meaningless. I get the point alright. Just a shamefully ridiculous way of making it.

If Fisher had quoted Niemoller he'd be getting absolutely crucified, and rightly so. But because Saint Peter of Coventry used it then it's totally OK. Ridiculous.

Why would 'You' be invited to answer any questions from a select committee??

I would like to see the daily count shown online and in the city centre say in broadgate, make every one aware how far we have to go.

We can but I do think PWKH bizarre statement is worthy if discussion.

The notion this quote was aimed as at free speech is simply untrue. The point that he was putting across is that everyone stayed silent and no one protested sufficiently to prevent the ultimate enemy from within gaining control.

The assumption has to be that this quote was used to compare sisu to the Nazis there can be no other interpretation. The smokescreen people put up on the blocked post to day it was a quote a out free speech is nonsense unless PWKH is complaining webber Shadwick are preventing free speech and suppressing him

It shows, in my view, a distorted angry mind and in my view he should resign his position immediately after such an absurd statement.

My aim was 1k in the first week so 3k in 48 hours is way beyond anything I'd hoped for. There were plenty on here saying the Why/When at Arsenal was a rubbish idea, wouldn't work etc etc but in the early stages of any of these things it's a case of plugging away and recognising progress takes time (and sometimes it feels like you're going backwards!). For people who want this to work what's needed is not just to sign it yourself but to pester other people to do the same. Retweets, emailing people etc is great but it also needs nagging away to make sure people do it. With Bristol City and Notts County coming up, why not post on their forums rather than here today and see if you can them on board?

There are some on here you have only ever seen a glass one third empty never mind half empty.
It's the same old faces. Wouldn't read too much into their comments.

Who wrote this?

Looks like someone involved in the saga signed the petition and has the balls to face the public and be scrutinised over everything!

Who is it Andreas ?

I assume you like all Cov fans are chuffed and want all the parties involved taking such action?

Was it PWKH?

Do SISU want to face a committee?

Do the council?

Whoever wrote this statement gets my respect how can we criticise any party involved who welcomes a non staged managed grilling over this matter (speaks volumes)

I have to say that the number who've signed it so far is a little disappointing. Especially considering the average gate at the Ricoh last season, the numbers who turned up at Crewe, MK this season, Arsenal this season, the march, etc etc.

Come on Sky Blues fans, show you care and sign it.

A quick translation for you--he was saying that if you remain silent nobody knows that you have a complaint,
so it's far better to draw people's attention to the problem.

What Michael is trying to do is draw people's attention to the diabolical way that football in general, and fans
in particular, are being used by mainly Foreign investors to feather their own nests, mainly at the expense of
our National Sport.

Funny how the usual suspects are on here again trying to get us off track yet we are the children for answering back??? why do they even support our team when everything we do to try and help is SHIT to them.

For once lets all get behind this and see how it pans out. May work may Not? but lets try don't just sit there and let our club go further down hill till there is nothing left to fight for..

I don't understand why anybody on here or elsewhere would be opposed to a neutral investigation into our plight. If ACL is guilty or the Council or Sisu this would surely be the best way of finding out. All the lawsuits that are currently going on have been instigated by one party or the other. Therefore they are only looking at one issue and not neutral, given one party will be defending and one accusing which isn't helping us get back to Coventry, or find out the truth.

So what is wrong with wanting a genuinely independent enquiry into how we got into this mess and who is most to blame?

Just read the 'acl out protest' thread and the pro acl v pro sisu posters are in full swing. Sometimes we are very naive - there are millions of pounds at stake and potential political fall out too. There are strong vested interests at work and remember the anonymity on here means people on both sides can pretend to be fans or push a particular viewpoint without needing to have the bottle to say who they really are.

Very true and why I'm for something neutral not something started by either party. We don't know enough about what's gone on we've only got what has been said by both sides, each of whom have an agenda or vested interest as you say Michael. Even the Higgs aren't independent in all this given they're part owners of ACL and allegedly part of the council plot against Sisu.

This is so messed up that it may need intervention from a select committee before we get anywhere in finding out the truth.

PWKH has never tried to hide who he is.

Yes we need an independent inquiry. I can't see it happening though. And until it does or the truth comes out in a different way I would prefer to believe Higgs/CCC. I am struggling to think of a lie that has come from them......and I am struggling to think of any truth that has come from SISU other than moving us to Northampton and litigation. Yet I am supposed to believe and trust them the same and because of this be called pro ACL.
