There seems to be a diffrence of opnion in the camp on the fans returning to watch the our great team

Tim Fisher comments
Coventry City CEO Tim Fisher has said that he does not expect any fans boycott of Sixfields Stadium to last.Mr FIsher, who says he has nothing to be sorry for, expects fans to boycott the first couple of games but feels that most will be back after three matches.

Stephen Pressley Comments
the City boss told the Coventry Telegraph's Alan Poole: I get the feeling from a big percentage of our supporters that they will not be attending our games there. "We obviously want to play a style of football that would hopefully encourage them back but, again, we understand their stance and the truth is that until we return to Coventry we will not see the vast majority of those fans attending games.
"That’s just something we have to accept.”

Fisher is far too hot-headed. He's said some stuff which you can understand and agree with but then you know it's not going to be long until he does something stupid and pisses people off again. The 'you'll come crawling back' nature of his answer to the boycott was stupid to say the least.

TF always seems to have different opinion to most others when it comes to the club, didn't he say the club is not for sale but JS said it is at the right price. That would be an interesting question to ask him!!!, why him and JS are talking in different directions..

What TF has done for CCFC reminds me of what Gerald Ratner did for his jewellery business back in 1991. A few wrong words back in 1991, uttered with self assured arrogance bit him on the backside to the tune of £500m. Smaller scale, but similar characteristics by TF. Don't give a *** about jewellery, but this is a community's football club, Timmy(ggrrrrrrr)

from all of the diatribe that has come from TF, one can only deduce that here is a man,
with an agenda to suit the purpose of his bosses,
imho, of course,
remember his quote, @ the last fans forum @ the standard,
about, if he doesn't do his job he wouldn't get paid,
he's placed himself as probably the most reviled director we've known

They aren't necessarily though, are they?
TF: might be meaning we are not actively seeking a buyer, that is another way of saying the club is not for sale. Being active in this would mean putting a price-tag on the club, or publicly inviting offers.
JS: might be be meaning the club is not for sale...unless someone makes us an offer we can't refuse...but possibly only she knows what that offer would have to be. Bit like Gareth bake was not for sale...until there was a chance of getting £85m! My house is not on the market so not for sale. It's worth about £300k...if my neighbour wanted to buy for his son & offered £310k I'd say "no". If he offered £400k I'd accept it.

I am told Tim Fisher does read this forum. And will see these replies.

So i would say Tim, stop alienating 90% of your customer fan base and move the team back to Coventry.

You and ACL should be able to work out a deal on a season by season basis to play at the Ricoh.

Like paying the money up front for the season. That way ACL will know you will not default on monthly payments as there will be none.

Why dont you buy the catering rights from compass again on a season by season basis?

Or look into why CCFC solf them?

As for Steven Pressley i really like him as a manager.

Pressley seems to have his screwed on right - accepts that, for the majority of fans the move away was the final straw and has attempted, so far relatively successfully imo, to ignore all the off field crap and get on with his job. He's earned a massive amount of respect this season. As for Fisher, he can't be a complete idiot but doesn't seem to think before he speaks. If he'd commented saying he would like people to back the team, but understood why a lot aren't (as Pressley has) then I imagine a few more would follow to Sixfields. As it is, I've read on here that his comments of fans boycott lasting 3 games alone has swung a fair few into staying away when they were on the fence!
