Sorry for the 161212th MK post but everybody is slating him.

Did he really agree terms?

Don't forget, this is the same board who said they had an appointment with the council to buy the Ricoh and the council came out and said they were lying.

I can't see how he would have agreed terms with CCFC knowing that other offers would surely be in the pipeline? Can't really blame him for moving on. As someone previously posted, would you turn down a huge pay rise or stay with your present employer "out of loyalty"? I know what I'd do! He only has 2 - maybe 3 years in the game. He's going to need all the income he can get at the moment.

He isn't the one going to the press and making announcements.

It is a bit late for everybody to bring up his criminal record as they weren't complaining when he was banging in goals and wouldn't be if he was next season either.

Please don't lump everyone into that category.

There were a lot of people (including me) who were never happy with King being here.

Yep, there were the 2/3% who were not happy, I agree with that!

There are a lot more who did love him being here and sung his name who now want to slate his crimes!

ure confusing them who welcomed him and them who accepted him

I do find the fickle fans quite sickening.

They stuck up for King and played down his crimes when he played for us but they'll be the first to call him a dirty sex offender once he's gone.

It's the people who sung 'she said yes' and will now turn around and slag him off for being a sex offender, they're the worst. (I realise they're hypothetical at present, but I'm certain they exist).

This is exactly my point! It is embarrassing.

I personally quite enjoyed him being here, crimes or no crimes. I'm not gonna turn round and slate him for his crimes now he has left?

It's a strange conversation to have with AT though don't you think?

Neither would I, but are you going to slate him for going back on verbal agreement and making a mockery out of our club?

If I knew 100% that is what happened I would think he was a cock, but I didn't like him for his personality anyway I liked him for the goals he scored.

It is one of those "who to believe" things and neither the board and King are clean cut honest people!

Agreed, but I can only assume he did give his word as Thorn backs it up as well and he seems like an honest man. If the board did indeed make it up or twist the conversation they had with King then that is scandalous

I enjoyed him being here and only ever joined in with songs about him that were to do with football (he scores goals marlon) - I won't bang on about his criminal records as I didn't do so when he signed for us - I will only slate him for his decision to turn his back on us and leave for blues (rightly or wrongly deciding to join them doesn't matter, I still feel slightly bitter about the whole situation)

I think that's reasonable enough, IMO

If he gave his word then yes he is a cock for doing it.

It doesn't mean when we play them I will stand up and abuse him for 2 reasons.

  1. It will make me look a cock
  2. I am pretty sure he wouldn't hear me, and if he did he has heard so much abuse I am pretty sure he wouldn't be bothered

One thing this whole saga has done has made all of the fans side with the board who they hated a month ago

2/3% HAHA!-- add a 0 and you are nearer. Our gate was down over 1000 last year and the telegraph poll was close to 50 50 for and against King.
Glad he's gone-- he was trouble and the fantardness about him was plain embarrassing. A failed premiership player who played half a season for us, hardly a legend.

How is wanting to keep your better players at the club fantardness?
And I am pretty sure the standard of football had something to do with the gates

He was welcomed like a hero by a section of our fans before he had kicked a ball-- they liked having a 'bad boy' it made them fell less like limp dicks... well actually they WERE limp dicks.
There were large scale arguments about King (still are) its pretty obvious that that didnt help gates (despite the above limpdicks predicting he was gonna put 1000's on the gate!)

Ok I see your point, I agree I didn't like the way he had a hero's welcome before he had even kicked a ball
However he is one of our better players and I also think the % of fans who wanted him to sign a new deal is greater than the % of fans who wanted to sign him 12 months ago, hence meaning his performances on the pitch had won some fans over

After a few days in Birmingham he'll probably wish he was back in prison!

It's crucial that CCFC and Thorn make clear that King DID or DID NOT agree to sign in that now infamous phone call.

That's all we need to know and then you can decide King is a complete dick or on the other hand,
if he did not say it, wonder why our club acted in such a dick like manner?

It's one or the other.

MK has said in his statement that he phoned AT to tell him he was staying so he obviously had agreed with the terms. Its not about loyalty its about integrity which sadly is something MK has again shown he lacks.

If in his statement he admits that, then he's a silly boy. Verbal contracts are binding and his admission of contact could probably stand in a court case. Can we now sue him and/or his agent for breach of contract? IF we drag it through the courts we could probably stop him playing for anyone else whilst the case goes on. It might not do us any long term good, but it would be fun to see him out of the game after all this

More reasoned debate today thankfully.

As Nick points out, suddenly everyone ha sided with a board that they hated just a month ago.

This whole saga seems to have suited everyone apart from co* fans.
