I can't see how he would have agreed terms with CCFC knowing that other offers would surely be in the pipeline? Can't really blame him for moving on. As someone previously posted, would you turn down a huge pay rise or stay with your present employer "out of loyalty"? I know what I'd do! He only has 2 - maybe 3 years in the game. He's going to need all the income he can get at the moment.

It is a bit late for everybody to bring up his criminal record as they weren't complaining when he was banging in goals and wouldn't be if he was next season either.

I do find the fickle fans quite sickening.
They stuck up for King and played down his crimes when he played for us but they'll be the first to call him a dirty sex offender once he's gone.

If I knew 100% that is what happened I would think he was a cock, but I didn't like him for his personality anyway I liked him for the goals he scored.
It is one of those "who to believe" things and neither the board and King are clean cut honest people!

Agreed, but I can only assume he did give his word as Thorn backs it up as well and he seems like an honest man. If the board did indeed make it up or twist the conversation they had with King then that is scandalous

I enjoyed him being here and only ever joined in with songs about him that were to do with football (he scores goals marlon) - I won't bang on about his criminal records as I didn't do so when he signed for us - I will only slate him for his decision to turn his back on us and leave for blues (rightly or wrongly deciding to join them doesn't matter, I still feel slightly bitter about the whole situation)
I think that's reasonable enough, IMO

He was welcomed like a hero by a section of our fans before he had kicked a ball-- they liked having a 'bad boy' it made them fell less like limp dicks... well actually they WERE limp dicks.

Ok I see your point, I agree I didn't like the way he had a hero's welcome before he had even kicked a ball
However he is one of our better players and I also think the % of fans who wanted him to sign a new deal is greater than the % of fans who wanted to sign him 12 months ago, hence meaning his performances on the pitch had won some fans over

It's crucial that CCFC and Thorn make clear that King DID or DID NOT agree to sign in that now infamous phone call.

MK has said in his statement that he phoned AT to tell him he was staying so he obviously had agreed with the terms. Its not about loyalty its about integrity which sadly is something MK has again shown he lacks.

If in his statement he admits that, then he's a silly boy. Verbal contracts are binding and his admission of contact could probably stand in a court case. Can we now sue him and/or his agent for breach of contract? IF we drag it through the courts we could probably stop him playing for anyone else whilst the case goes on. It might not do us any long term good, but it would be fun to see him out of the game after all this
