Could someone explain to me why so many of Derby's players are supposedly highly sought after by higher clubs?

Id get it if they had 1 or 2 stars who didnt deserve to be relegated but weren't they fairly poor as a team last year?

Their academy has also been Cat One for years hence why they have so much talent coming through.

Mostly young and going into U23 set ups. Same as when clubs paid for Thomas, Stevenson and Harries when we were relegated into League 2.

Picking the bones from relegated teams worked for Liverpool (Robertson, Wijnaldum) and as someone pointed out, they'd have finished not that far behind us if it weren't for the points deduction.

Appreciate there's a slight(!) difference in the fees paid in my example but feel like the point stands up. Good players stand out in poor teams. Add data analysis in to the mix, don't see the issue.

I thought this was gonna be about them being linked with just us, considering we’ve already been linked with: Plange, Buchanan, Sibley and Bird. I wonder who’s next James Collins?
