I’d have gone for a box, take off Gyo or Godden for Allen, Dabo for Kane. Keep Sheaf on the pitch as he was playing fairly well.

Yeah me too. You can always then take a midfielder off for walker or waghorn last 10 when we've wrestled control of the game back.

He had no sight of goal. Pass was the right option

Walker by name, Walker by nature, that’s all he did walk about the pitch. Feck me, he got 25 mins and should be emptying the tank closing down like Vik does. Waste of a sub, Waghorn would have been chasing the feck out of them as his old team. Robins looks to have made a poor call

I thought he was just off on the first replay and haven’t seen anything yet to change my mind. Great header though

Frustrating day. I am a big Kelly fan but apart from one good tackle when Derby were breaking down the right, I thought he was poor today. Think Gyo is not fully fit. Looks a shadow of his pre Blackburn form. Dont think Walker and Godden complement each other, but time will tell. We got lucky with the shot that hit the post. Ref was seriously dreadful in the second half which did impinge on the outcome. We should have had a second pen. How did he not book Kazim-Richards for a blatant barge on Maa. Dabo was seriously poor with his crossing all match. Sheaf and particularly Hyam with that suicidal pass looked tired and started to lose concentration. Maa should have done better with the last minute shot. Needs to hit the target. Need a result at Hull or all our good work will be undone.

Wouldn't go that far. For us to not win either of this week's games having led both at half time is the most frustrating of all when previously we've been much stronger in the second half. Last season we won every single game we were in that position

This might sound premature but it’s time for one of those player meetings like post QPR last season. Three games where mentality let us down rather than ability. Need to nip it in the bud ASAP. Next two months are full of tough games and if we don’t pick ourselves up we could have dropped like a stone by Christmas.

I'm just a bit confused by Robins recognising an error on Wednesday, then the game today unfolding basically as a carbon copy with very nearly the same outcome. We cannot create anything for 2 strikers if the midfield can't get hold of the ball

Absolutely agree. Sheaf was playing well and there was no need to swap him and Walker is by some way our least impressive forward when it comes to defending from the front and offered little.

Allen for Gyo would have been my choice to ensure we got the ascendancy in midfield again as Derby were starting to dominate in that area.

He recognised the need for change away then carried on pretty much as we were.
I think that 2nd half against Fulham affected his thinking but he needs a good look at things now.
Seasons still been success so far but there are definitely a few tweaks need making.

Yep. Let's see what we do at Hull, hopefully we play a box there against a promoted side and one where we should have more of the ball. Away day specialists Brizzle after that

Its hard to compare the disappointment today to that of Wednesday, Preston came out and pressed\pushed us hard in the 2nd half and we really struggled to adapt and deal with their game, today we were never really pressed by Derby but sat back and let them come at us rather than our usual push and press. Preston took the game to us we had no answer, 2nd half today we sat off and let Derby move forward with the ball while not overly threatening our goal it was our own poor play that lead to their goal.
2pts in a week when we might have at least hoped for 4 maybe even 6, that is really disappointing.

Onwards and upwards.

Derby we’re poor in the 1st half, and we had control, but the passing was off, Gyk not at his best, and we didn’t create an awful lot. Derby bossed it 2nd half but only created one real chance which hit the post, before we nearly made it 2-0. Hyam’s error then led to their equaliser. We looked leggy, and our bench lacks any game changers, or pace, as Robins clearly thinks it’s too early for Jodi to come into these tight games.

No pen for me, He'd lost his balance and was already on his way down. I'd be fuming if that was given against us.

The more blatant one was Byrne hauling McFadzean to the floor at a corner straight after been spoken to by the referee for holding.

I don't think it confirms anything. The angle of the slide isn't perfect for starters, whereby it is impossible to judge exactly where Godden was in relation to Davies who was defending more centrally.

I'm not even sure Godden is definitively in front of the defender near him facing square on either. Godden's outstretched arm is offside, but I don't think that counts, and that offside calls are supposed to be judged by the position of your feet. In this instance Goddens feet are not 'definitely' goalside of the defenders.

Going off Godden’s right shoulder, yes in today’s rule it’s offside. The arm boundary begins at the bottom of your armpit. Legs, Body, Head, can be offside.

The odd thing is that the end result was not that Godden headed it in as the furthest forward player anyway, the defenders had got back
