That's business. You pay a rent and get something for it.
We pay minimum rent and get a stadium 25 days a year and some of the football incremental revenues.
I'm sure if we wanted office space etc we could rent some at the Ricoh at the going rate.
Alternatively you could build a new stadium, pay finance costs, rates, utilities and maintenance costs etc etc.

Which ones best ? That's what Sisu needs to explain to us before they risk our club somewhere in Rugby.

We've paid more to rent the Ricoh than wasps have to own it.

Your wasps plugging agenda is becoming very tiring.

It's not plugging Wasps it's bringing business dinosaurs like you into the real world.
I want to see the Sisu business plan before they risk our club by building a new stadium or if it doesn't exist then they need to start working with Wasps for the good of both clubs.

Why? That's an irrelevant and typically pointless contribution from you.

I have a ticket for Wasps along with my CCFC Season ticket for what will be my 48th season of supporting.
Is it relevant ?

It's entirely relevant.

You are a fan - you want them to stay

No the correlation between rent payments and the new stadium is pointless - but to be fair you are consistent in that regard.

Really ?

The club want to build new stadium to get 365 revenues, but comparing this to paying rent in our current stadium is pointless ?

Surely all rent would go to CCFC if we owned the stadium ?

They are only here to stay if people like you keep feeding them - starve them and they will die a deserved death.

Rugby World Cup? I'd rather watch endless repeats of Terry and June than that mind numbing crap.

Surely you know the "rules" it's (apparently!) impossible to be a true CCFC fan and also support Wasps. Keep up italia

Well you certainly can't object of ccfc moved out of Coventry as by definition you support franchised sports clubs.

The plan comes out. Well you have a start and you are up to 6 people on here. Good Luck.
Can you accept that some people do like watching Rugby and they are not all brain dead ?

Not that I'd ever want it to happen but I'd be very interested to see how those who think it is totally fine for Wasps to move here purely on the basis they will be better off would react if SISU moved us permanently to say Worksop for the same reasons.

Do you really think Wasps would be as happy if the crowds were a couple of thousand people coming up from London? Of course not, the move would be viewed as a disaster.

I certainly can, just wish they'd had this great longing to watch rugby at some point over the 140 years before Wasps turned up and chose to support our own team rather than someone franchised in.

Wouldn't be that interesting as we know what the result would be, they would all be outraged and then offer some feeble excuse when people point out they supported the Wasps move.

People are seriously deluded if they think that they'll ever get down to a couple of thousand. You simply have no compression of the mentality of Rugby fans. I know people who are Leicester and Northampton fans that go purely because they want to watch top flight Rugby and there's a waiting list for tickets for saints and tigers, it's that simple. So long as Wasps are top flight I doubt there crowds will ever fall below 10k.

Rugby is weird, when I was channel hopping earlier I.saw people in England tops at the Japan game acting as if they had just won the world cup when Japan scored. Very strange.

So because Wasps moved here we should be happy for CCFC to move to Worksop ?
Good luck with that one.

They celebrate the game. That's why you can drink on the terraces and there's no segregation. I've been to a couple of England games and Twickenham the last being against Wales sat next to Welshmen, laughing and joking with them, they were joining in with swing low sweet chariot. It's a different mentality. Anyone thinking that they can damage Wasps in some way with a football fans mentality have already lost simply because they're starting from the wrong place.

They'd be better off getting our owners to do what's best by our club than trying to impose a mentality on Rugby fans that's just never going to be accepted to somehow send Wasps over the edge. It's a big case of biting of your nose to spite your face. Let's worry about getting our own vulnerable house in order first. You're only letting your club down otherwise.

They'll support CCFC as a football fan and support Wasps as a Rugby fan. So they'll appose any unnecessary move away from the city as a football fan I'd imagine.

Hey, that must mean that anyone who attended Sixfields approached it as a Rugby fan not a football fan. Well at least we're getting to the bottom of the ill conceived notion to attend Sixfields.

....but as Cov fans and football fans they boycotted sixfields because they disagreed with clubs being moved away from their area, but yet jumped straight on the wasps bandwagon, and many of them have never showed any interest in rugby or the Butts before so debatable to call themselves "rugby" fans...

That's about as bonkers as when Labovich claimed he didn't hear something as he wasn't working for SISU that day. Its not like Rugby is a sport thats franchise based with teams coming in and out of existence and moving around the country regularly.

Personally didn't go to Sixfields but I would imagine those that went did so as they expected us at some point to return. Had SISU at any point stated the move was permanent there may well have been a different response from those who attended.

Do you really not get it? If you have no problem with Wasps moving 85 miles purely on the basis that it is better for them financially, with zero consultation or thought for their fans, why would you have a problem if SISU did the same?

If you think its wrong for clubs to be uprooted and moved halfway across the country why do you not object to Wasps being here?
