Wasn't she some sort of presenter before she was drawn into being a celebrity? Don't know that much about her other than seeing her on Strictly a few years ago, when she seemed fairly well grounded.

She didn’t do an awful lot to be fair. I say one thing though the tabloids shouldn’t be allowed to breathe her name.

things is though I’ve noticed at least 6 people I know giving it the RIP shit and be nice to each other mental health awareness stuff on FB These same people spend most of their lives backstabbing and doing people down whilst uploading “funny” videos of people less fortunate on their social media pages

empty vacuous cunts

The more I think about it, it’s just the way western society has gone in the last 20 years. Spiritually dead, soulless, quick fixes and satisfaction. Media obsessed with real life drama and pain. Caroline herself presided over a show that preyed on people’s emotions and weaknesses along with causing young men and women to think if they didn’t look like a model with perfect looks and figure then there wasn’t much point

This is all true, but things don't just go a certain way.
Media behemoths, broadcasters, including Social Media innovation shape public trends . Celebrity worship has largely been adopted via American culture, yet that at least started from a modicum of talent .
I'd suspect Bi-polar tendencies among most of the victims relating to where reality TV is concerned.
Questions around regulation and whether there should be any,the criminal case against Ms Flack and whether it should have gone ahead?
It cannot be denied her actions led to that, shame, fear and possibly a predisposed condition as mentioned earlier appear to have culminated in this event, tragically.

This bit troubles me, when some have said it shouldn't. Her actions were pretty grim really, and whether or not her boyfriend wanted to prosecute is almost irrelevant, as it displays the hallmarks of abuser and abused. Reverse it and, had a man committed that act, then all hell would have broken loose.

Her death is of course a tragedy for her, and for her family and friends. It's desperately sad that she didn't feel she could access services that could help her. I'm not sure, however, that means we can reinvent some of the actions that led to that stage. Ultimately, she had to take responsibility for that act of violence (and hints it wasn't the first time from a former boyfriend, too) and the consequences that came with it. Again, had it been a man in that position, there would maybe not be the same amount of sympathy there is today. The tragedy is that owning those consequences has been to ramp up the destructiveness and allow for a needless loss of life, rather than seeking help.

So, by all means allow the friends and family to pay tribute, to lament their loss but... I don't think we can reinvent the past to fit the present as drastically as it has been done.

Pisses me off though when they say she's passed away. No she didn't.

People who get ill and have accidents pass away.

Still a shame though, so sad she felt this was the only option.

I'm with you, 92: people DIE - saying they "pass" or "pass away" doesn't change that!

I'm not sure if I'm misreading this, but I mean people who commit suicide isn't passing away.

People who are ill/dont have a choice in the matter pass away.

I get what you're saying, but everyone dies - dressing it up with different terminology doesn't make it any easier to bear for those left behind. "Passing" implies the religious connotation of passing from this life to the next, which i don't know how many people believe in anymore.

I had to read up on who she was but clearly all of my ‘friends’ on Facebook knew and we all sad. Always seems to be a race on FB on who is the most upset and who is outraged.
People are even changing their profiles to say ‘be nice’.

fake bullshit like this annoys me more than ever

Virtue signalling has replaced having any virtues.

The world has gone completely mad and it's usually the horrible bastards that fake empathy and concern most.

All the truth will emerge I suspect soon for those ... that are interested . Most people 40 plus don’t even know who she really was . It’s all a bit fake and as someone said earlier if it was the guy treated for beating her up then he would have not got bail , the CPS here will upset all the feminists and are not to blame

all that said it is tragic when ANYONE takes their own life RIP

If all these people are so sad about what has happened - then the best way they can pay tribute to her is to stop watching this shite on TV, stop buying the gutter magazines and newspapers, and stop clicking on those websites.

if not - it’s just fake noise with no meaning.

I'm plumping for the Hollywood film director, Mr. Shyamalan, because there is something of the night about him.

Of course - money and fame is supreme.... you don’t even have to have any discernible talent.

Seeing Eamon Holmes expressing his ‘sadness and concern’ after him savaging Meghan Markle (who he never even met) on a national radio is another particular low-light from one of many hypocrites.

That fat fucker is just a less successful Piers Morgan. He can barely hide his contempt for any "real life" people that he interviews.

I called a reality TV start at the start of the year and unfortunately Caroline Flack was one (although I was shocked)

Until the media and social media platforms change by regulating account details and making it simple to prosecute then the cycle will continue.

Celebrated media hacks, columnists and entertainment reporters do as much damage as anonymous troll accounts.

Indeed.

Funny how the Sun deleted all previous articles on Caroline Flack, particularly the articles that slated her limelight and arrest.

He revealed in an interview recently that he nearly died last year so it's not off the cards.

I reckon the Rolling Stones are actually the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. It's just been mistranslated - it should be Four Hoarse Men of the Apocalypse They did do Sympathy for the Devil.....

Just who is which though?

Jagger could be either Famine or Conquest. Richards has looked like Death for some time. Watts on the drums sounds like a war's going on. Which I guess leaves Ronnie as Pestilence.
