He's still alive his death is a false rumour.we did. Just googled it and it seems he has died from corona. 80 as well, didn't realise he was that long in the tooth.

Same here. I always linked him with the players such as Cliff Thorburn, Ray Reardon, Alex Higgins et al. I'd guessed he was in the late age 70's bracket. I now find out he was younger than me!I was surprised Willie Thorne was only 66 - i had him down as that in about 1988 - probably the premature baldness and crippling Lestah accent! Good chap though. Will be missed.
