Sinead O'Connor admitting she is 'suicidal'.
May not be around much longer then.

The Mrs has just told me this, I'm guessing he knew he was dying as his new album is titled "adios". I'm genuinely saddened by this one, he had a great voice.

Yes...although Country was never my thing - he seemed to easily cross genre boundaries & liked by most that heard his songs. He is comfortably welcome on the thread

The thing with singers and musicians is that their music will live on long after they have gone.
Probably until everyone who knew them has passed on, and maybe longer.
Anyone still remember Ruby Murray?

Oh yes. One of my favourites. Love a good vindaloo after a day on the pop.

David Somerset, the 11th Duke of Beaufort, has died at the age of 89.
He is succeeded by his eldest son Harry, The Marquess of Worcester.

Famous for absolutely nothing.

Apparently singing, dancing, musicianship and being an all round entertainer were not Brucies only gifts.

I never really warmed to him. I always considered him a car salesman type with a sales pitch and a fake smile. But I must admit he managed to become a British showbiz institution. And for someone plain looking, he certainly managed to capture some beautiful women.

He said himself no woman would look twice at him until he starred in Sunday Night at the London Paladium.

Fame (or notoriety) seems to be the biggest aphrodisiac for certain women.
Most of the eulogies I've read from people who knew him spoke in glowing terms so obviously he had something.

I've got some letters from Bruce Forsyths addressed to the guy who my parents bought their house off with his autograph on them,

There's a few bits in the attic including an autographed programmme from Gracie fields when she appeared at the royal Albert hall

I am in Florida at the moment and was thinking about Bruce for next years as I have nothing better to do, turned my phone on a minute later and he has snuffed it!
