Not sure why so many are having a pop at Stone Cold Dean Austin. I didn’t disagree with most of what he said about recruitment and when asked about the lack of loans he gave a good insightful view into how they work.

Also recruitment at most clubs now is data driven. He even said he went to King with a couple of ambitious players that were just too expensive. That shows to me that his intentions are right as far as helping us improve on the pitch

Just feel like there's another round of sensationalism coming here about a member of staff. We've seen the performance director questioned with little to no substance, we've been told players are refusing to play with little evidence to suggest that's the case.

Something gets squashed and we move on to something else.

Maybe it's just that simply King is a human being and didn't want to go into the firing line alone and wanted some support on questions that are better suited for the Head of Recruitment? Part of the downfall of Robins is that we didn't sign a CM right? Who better to answer those questions?

He's got no football experience apart from being a professional that played in the top fight for most if not all of his career

Austin is heading the recruitment team it's pretty normal for him to be involved, especially when in a fans forum where there may be questions about transfers.

People might take you more seriously if you had some quality control in picking your targets.
