One other thing to take from last night was how involved Austin actually is

never would you expect head of recruitment to be part of the panel alongside king

is he the one advising King from a footballing side? If so we are bang in trouble

his cv is not great. he has had more positions than lati. additionally, interesting that he completed a course in technical directors licence

Not sure why so many are having a pop at Stone Cold Dean Austin. I didn’t disagree with most of what he said about recruitment and when asked about the lack of loans he gave a good insightful view into how they work.

Also recruitment at most clubs now is data driven. He even said he went to King with a couple of ambitious players that were just too expensive. That shows to me that his intentions are right as far as helping us improve on the pitch

Funny that Doug has said in the modern game staff at a football club don't undertake multiple roles but that is exactly what Dean Austin is doing!

Doug needs a Director of Football to discuss all footballing business and leave Dean Austin to stick to the recruitment

Just feel like there's another round of sensationalism coming here about a member of staff. We've seen the performance director questioned with little to no substance, we've been told players are refusing to play with little evidence to suggest that's the case.

Something gets squashed and we move on to something else.

Maybe it's just that simply King is a human being and didn't want to go into the firing line alone and wanted some support on questions that are better suited for the Head of Recruitment? Part of the downfall of Robins is that we didn't sign a CM right? Who better to answer those questions?

So people have moved on from Dr. Claire now that the answer to Lindens question proved she makes sure the players go to bed at a sensible time and don’t eat McDonalds every day?

He's got no football experience apart from being a professional that played in the top fight for most if not all of his career

Funny thing about all of this is Dean was brought in by Dave and Robins not King.

If he is as bad as you would say surely that’s again another thing Robins has gotten wrong which has cost him his job.

Chill out David Icke, not everything is sign of a massive web of conspiracy.

Austin is heading the recruitment team it's pretty normal for him to be involved, especially when in a fans forum where there may be questions about transfers.

People might take you more seriously if you had some quality control in picking your targets.

To me he came across as a bit like the teachers pet and was happy to throw Robins under the bus whilst sucking up to Doug

don’t think they bought him to be more senior than just recruitment

feels like Austin is far more involved than we originally thought not sure why you think it’s sensationalist

IF he is and there is no evidence that he is King's go to person. Austin only talked about recruitment.
