Are they wrong to cut the playing budget to a manageable level? Yes or no?

On the Northampton gates, that'll be about 50p a year.

Is Bell a central midfielder or a winger? Last night we had a great game against galatasaray and played a trialist midfielder who many voted man of the match. I've heard the David Bell rumours for months but he still hasn't agreed terms with you, so i can see us maybe going in a different direction.

Hi all. Our chairman occasionally posts on our Notts County Mad forum. He recently said we have agreed terms with a winger and are just waiting on his current club to settle his contract. He was asked if it was David Bell to which he replied "no comment."

Just wondering if he's a good signing, what to expect with him? His injury record concerns me slightly but fingers crossed the medical he has already had a few weeks ago (allegedly) has proven he's in decent condition.

Thanks and best of luck for the season (apart from against us of course).

Apart from his injuries i think that virtually every club he has been associated with have been relegated, gone into admin or out of existence, or all of the above.

Fucking Jonah.

Sorry mate but his injury record should worry you slightly more than a bit !
He'd be ok if he played more often but the fact is he never does , shame really because there is a decent player in there somewhere !!

He was here then though, but injured most of the time, so wouldn't make that much of a difference really.

Big gamble, technically very talented player for this level however he never stays fit long enough to have any impact. Could be a good deal all round as we want him off the wage bill and you get a potentially very good signing, time will tell with fitness who will be the happier out of this one.

David Bell is f*cking woeful or injured and one of our highest earners. One good game and one good goal every season is not worth the wages we pay for him.

I'm far more worried about a lack of Centre Backs then losing David Bell.

David Bell played 94 games in 4 years for us, he is the proverbial Mr Sicknote. Not a bad player at this level when fit but a bit of a bottler.
Talking about bottlers we were mighty pissed off that the twat Lee Hughes had the audacity to make an appearance for you lot at the Ricoh last season.
Lost a lot of respect for Notts County that day.

imho, Mr Bell owes coventry city a huge amount, he has been an employee for many years,
& has been rewarded with sums of money way above his worth,
a bit like a few others,
now remind me who gave him his extended contract,
wasn't it that bench warmer Dulieu ?

I feel like we should just leave him on their doorstep with a note saying: He's your problem now

He do really well with County - Good signing.

Not Bell's problem if he's on Championship wages - City would need to compensate him the difference and then he will show how good he is on 2 Nov.

What on earth has that got to do with Bell? LH doesn't even play for us any more.

Couldn't give a shite if you've lost respect for us, if anything its totally irrelevant that you bought it up.

I couldn't give a shite that you don't give a shite that I've lost respect for Notts County but what is relevant is that both Keith Curle and Lee Hughes showed total disregard to the feelings of the people and fans of Coventry.
Let's not fall out over it though because you'll be doing us a very big favour by taking Sicknote Bell off our wage bill.
