Didn't rate him last match or the 1st half of this one but he's been great this 2nd half
Belgium didn't mark him at all for large parts of the game - given the freedom of the park. Does whip in a dangerous cross, though.

A year ago, Robins played Rudoni at LB over DaDilva. Says a lot.

It is genuinely beyond a joke how well he's playing and how key he is to our game plan these days. I don't even get nervous when he's defending one-on-one or a high ball is pinged towards him anymore. He is playing with supreme confidence and we're so lucky to have him. It's great to see him getting forward too; inevitable he'll get a goal to his name and honestly, I'll be fucking thrilled for him

His improvement is one of the biggest turnarounds I can remember. A player who used to be unplayable, but is now almost, uhhh, unplayable.

Don’t really get the love in. Thought he did ok today. Brilliant bit of defending to cover after he’d got caught playing their CF onside. Seems to have lost confidence going forward since the international break. Don’t think he got ahead of EMC once today. Solid 7, no more

You don’t really require more than a 7 out of 10 from a full back every week in the Championship.
Absolutely nothing to be sniffed at.

Was gonna bump this myself if noone else did

Playing so well. It's not just a case of oh he's doing ok it's a case of he is a big part of the team that is top of the league
You can say that about anyone who is in the regular 11. Don't think you can criticise any of them really. Funnily enough, certainly since the last international break, Wright has been the only one fucking me off a bit. He'll pick up again I'm sure.

It was their rw, and the lino missed a tight offside to be fair to Jay.

He did a 50 yard run at one point TBF, he was really good.

I think sometimes you need to recognise that he isn't expected to necessarily get beyond EMC, Stoke's game plan is to counter attack via the wings.

Must admit I wanted to see the back of him , his upturn in form has been unreal . Still think we can be exposed by a physical winger like against Leicester , but whole team seem to cover each other all over the pitch

You don't play representative football at youth level without being a technically good player . He's always had ability but suffered with system changes , form and a very good player in Bidwell competing for the left back role .
Hopefully he can continue his rich vein of form cause him and MvE have the potential to pin teams back
Weren't a bad shout from 6 months ago 😎

The shit I used to take over jds lol

@PVA alot more admitidly
It's the scapegoat mentality that we have to move away from if we are going to be a successful club . Every player will have ups and downs in form but we have to get behind them and lose the "Eccles is L1 standard , DaSilva can't defend , Kitching is a loose cannon etc ,etc .
Problem is it starts on these forums and various social media and becomes gospel and copied and pasted.
I will highlight flaws and a drop off on form but I've never seen the sense in flogging a struggling player or worse booing them .
We are all fans who want our club to succeed , so get behind everyone of them and " let's all sing together" 🩵

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. Jamie Allen thread the perfect curled through ball to spit a defence, I've seen Ellis Simms dominate Premier League centre backs.. twice. I watched Ben Wilson picked for the team of the season, I've seen Haji Wright look totally unplayable... Dunno where I'm going with this. I suppose my point is players at this level are really patchy, that's why they are at this level. But they all have worth when on top of their game. There is a tendency for people just to give up on players but we need them all with the squad size we have. They will flake in and out of form but I think we have enough quality players that we can expect one or two to be on it we'll be ok.

Obviously Grimes is totally different. I prey he stays fit as he makes us tick and never really drops standards
