I suspect his sources are mostly Hoffman and Elliot who feed “info” to the trust and advocates like Linnell. It’s very obvious the same source feeds info to them both at least

Isn't that the whole point? Getting as many of us on as possible to (a) monopolise the phone-in with the questions that need to be asked, and (b) make it look like Pete isn't just some random pro-SISU frother?
Well done all - i wonder how long Linnell and co can keep this up? Are they making sure Linnell does the phone-in, as Eakin would probably say something embarrassing?

Not sure what you're getting at here, Grendel. If an applicant has their plans refused, THEY (and they alone) can appeal the decision to the Planning Inspectorate. If it is APPROVED, then no third party can make such an appeal. The only way to do this would be to request a Judicial Review into the process that was followed.
Or, i guess, and depending on the circumstances of the land ownership, there COULD be an application made to the European Commission in respect of breaching Article 107 of the EU treaty on State Aid (e.g. the council own the freehold of the land and they have let them have a 250 year lease in order to build a hotel, which would cost them a fortune if it was privately-owned land).

I guess the people who wanted to build but were refused should have some way to complain?

Anyway...to the stadium, a game is afoot.

I don't think Hoffman talks to the trust. If it does come from him I'd imagine it's via a 3rd party on the council who I know the trust are close with.

Sorry, i wasn't aware that someone else had applied for a hotel on the Ricoh car park.
Anyone who is refused planning consent (and ONLY them) IS entitled to appeal to the Planning Inspectorate within 6 months of the decision notice. I suspect that if an application for a development that was materially the same was approved subsequently (unless it had addressed the reasons for the first refusal), the first applicant MIGHT have grounds for a judicial review of the planning authority's (i.e. CCC's) decision-making process.

Individuals are allowed to complain as long as they do it through correct channels which then forces an additional planning committee meeting. I’ll find the exact process. I’ve recently done it on another issue.

From GOV.UK:-

"Only the person who made the application can appeal. If you did not apply, you can comment on an appeal instead."

Like to know what the other process is - the Parish Council i sit on are often at odds with the district council on the decisions they make, and we have no right of reply, even as a statutory consultee.

I’ll dig it out. I’ve recently appealed against council approval of some development - they can still approve but it forces an extraordinary meeting - the public are always entitled to appeal an initial approval

I will say i believe the system sucks, especially with the arbitrary numbers of new homes that "need" to be built in each council area.

Have I missed something? Wasn't a similar hotel scheme on judd's Lane just rejected? How could Wasps get planning permission if the 1st scheme was rejected? That would have court action written all over it

Seems like there are some usual social media accounts firing up, PSB group on it too.

They seem to have had a U turn since they met with Wasps.
