Whatever happens, he has all the cards. If he comes back slowly and struggles to get back to his previous level then he can sign the contract that we presumably have already put on the table. If he comes back flying he’ll soon start attracting attention again and won’t be short of offers. It’s unfortunate, but that’s the situation the club finds itself in.

Can the club withdraw a contract offer if it becomes obvious that he's a shadow of his former self? Genuine question.

Yes of course they can, a contract isn’t binding until both parties have signed. Unlikely the club would do that though. Assuming they agree a one year extension they would be expecting to get him up to speed for that final year.

So he can be expected to return to his pre-injury form? In which case, was Jodi Jones simply deemed not good enough to further our Championship ambitions?

Jones had lots of talent, backed by city for a long time. It had to stop somewhere.

They need to get someone from the SAG to come down and explain the need for 2000 empty seats.

we seem the likes of Spurs and Arsenal and United and City have a bar and a line of stewards between fans. It’s total overkill

But when a stadium is empty it’s an easy decision to keep areas closed. I hope it opens up. I also hope ST holders move nearer the away end.

I am assuming the money for the pitch came from somewhere if Sisu were cashless

All i know is, contrary to what the press etc thought of SISU's wealth, they were destitute. Few months more of them and we would have been in admin. No coincidence they seem to have disappeared off the face of the earth and haven't invested in anything for a long time

Douglas was owed money from a previous investment with them, not sure what. Anyway, he wanted his cash, fair enough, they didnt have any, one major asset they wanted to get rid of, the club, here you go call it quits, do up the training ground, use the inevitable Vik and Hamer cash to get the squad in a better place, get a stadium deal, tie MR down, get the club into a better place than they could and watch his profit roll in when he flogs it in a few years time. Easy money for him.

No coincidence he came out of literally nowhere. No coincidence he had never even been to a football match and in a early interview said he didnt even know where the stadium was. No coincidence he shared an office address with SISU. No coincidence the debt was wiped 'Because he paid almost sod all for the club'

Could have had my plonker pulled, but some of it tallys

Sounds plausible but is also all speculation unless you have something concrete to support it.

Caught up on BBC sounds. The question to MR as to why he signed so many (four) centre backs when we had just one on the books and play with three was a particular highlight.

I’d have been tempted to ask him if Haji Wright can actually hit a cows backside with a banjo, and if so, can the club provide evidence of this achievement.
