Wasn't there recent news that the speedway was definitely staying in Brandon or was that just the dogs?

Interesting he used to run a football club, is that a sign?

Doesn't he know SP too?

Whilst it may be true that the Ricoh Arena will be fine without the club, isn't that a huge fuck you to the fans?
Not the best way to start your reign really is it. A bit smug.

I found an old Hearts AGM report where he discussed a new ground with a retractable roof and pitch circa 2000... That sounds familiar...

“I have seen the accounts and looked at them for the last few months. What I would say is that when the accounts are filed they just show what has happened in the past and my focus is on the future.”

Is that suggesting that they are going to show a loss?

If there is "life after the Sky Blues" as Chris Robinson put's it then maybe he should keep quiet about it and just get on with it, I am not saying it's a false statement but sometimes you can say something for long enough to try and convince people differently.

Also his olive branch for CCFC is likely to be a tennancy agreement, if we believe what Sisu have said they will not return to the Ricoh on that type of agreement, so why constantly on CCC/ACL side of things continue to offer something which the other party does not want? All their do in effect is giving false hope to the fans of the Club by saying they'll offer it making themselves look like the Good Guys knowing full well that the Club won't accept it, making Sisu look like stubborn and vindictive baddies.

Besides that I hope Chris Robinson does well in his role and hope he has many stress relief capsules while the effects of this scenario play out.

He's not the most popular fella up in Scotland!

Nobody at the council ever seems to do any cursory research intp people or organisations.

Which explains why Sisu were their preferred bidder for the club I suppose.

Seems to have a lot in common with another Robinson once involved with a football club.

Would sound like one to me.

Doesn't sound like it offers much in the weight of truth does it?

You'd just hope that a change In ACL's
make up were mirrored at the Club, might just be room to face each other at the negotiation table.

For what though Wingy a tennancy agreement? I could only say two things about the Club returning to the Ricoh under such agreement:

a) The owners would have to be majorly desperate to consider it.
b) By going back we are only going to have a continuing issue into the future.

Didn't this news come out a month or so ago where he asked for a meeting or similar with SP and he said no?

You could read some positive things from his statement in that he is happy to ignore what's gone before (which is sensible and should be adopted by both sides).

SISU were the council's "preferred bidder for the club"? What are you on about? Please explain.

Of course they will show a loss, Look at what has happened the last year or so........ its the next 5 years we need to look at but I have no doubts it can make a profit without ccfc as it can hold and do anything. Why not? The 02 is a massive success not saying exactly like them but they don't have a sports team and the midlands is crying out for events. Easy to get to and cheaper than London. All the time ccfc are stuck infront of 1500 at sixfields. All makes sense now.

Yes he was just honest and told it how he sees it. I thought he was nice enough to say "the door is always open" most other would of said "you blew it,cya."

It can be seen both ways. I edited above by the way :D

I think he has to talk-up the viability of his business; which to an extent he did - without giving rise to a Fisheresque rebuttal and counter-joust; leading to more tales that may as well begin 'Once upon a time...'

And damn you and your swift editing fingers. You must bring great joy to many ladies' lives
