I wasn’t at the game but the old man reckons that Newcastle fans at HR were especially awful/racist. He said it sounded like they were all at it.

I remember one year at Highbury, after we'd gone 3 down one of our lot started 'Michael Watson, is a cabbage, is a cabbage'. Didn't go down too well with the home fans the other side of the fence.

Think Liverpool have one about the Munich air crash and Man U have one about about Hillsborough.

After reading this, I’m ashamed to think that we were racist towards Regis before he signed (when doesn’t matter!).
Pretty shocked to hear about Chelsea fans’ gas chamber noises to Spurs.

Mob mentality really does bring the worst out of too many football fans.

Ta.
No idea why he's apologising after then, if I was him and someone mocked a child of mine with DS, I'd want to knock the twat out.

They (Newcastle) were chanting at the game we beat them 4-1, "You're just a town full of P***'s, and the volume of it suggested a majority.

Newcastle used to sing a song (may still do but it's years since I've seen them live) aimed at the police about a criminal called Harry Roberts who shot dead 3 policemen in 1966

I was in with Newcastle fans at WBA with my friend and we were blocked from leaving by the police who were standing between us and the locked gates & the Geordies started singing it in their faces. It was very confrontational & uncomfortable.

Some of the chants are pretty grim. Its off how this sort of behaviour became 'normal'

Special mention for a song aimed at one of our own players -who returned from a long injury and then went straight back into the starting XI without any rumour of return. David Bell (?2012) got lobbed straight back in and on hearing the team news - the SBA responded with 'David Bell - We thought you were dead'

For me - I still think think that's funny one - but I'm not sure that Bell agreed

TSx

Reminds me of Roy Keane when Clive clarke had a heart attack and Keane said he didn’t think he showed any heart when playing so was surprised and admitted the day it happened he was on loan to Leicester and he was glad as Sunderland lost to Luton that night and it took the attention off a terrible performance

Two truly awful ones that I have felt extremely uncomfortable being in the ground for. My best mates an Arsenal fan so have been to my fair share of Arsenal away games over the last decade although much less recently. Went to White Hart Lane for the North London Derby and Adebayor got a genuinely disgusting amount of abuse.
"It should have been you, it should have been you, shot in Angola it should have been you" - after the Togo bus was attacked in Angola.
"Adebayor, Adebayor. Your Dad washes elephants, your mothers a whore"

In terms of with City, the sex offender song is not only ridiculously offensive, it is absolutely shite. Anyone joining in needs to give their head a wobble. As someone else touched on, when it was sung at Ronaldo, it was pretty funny and true. Singing it at random good opposition players is pathetic.

You have evidence? You should perhaps share it.

I also don't understand how it's shite when City fans sing it, but funny when it was at Ronaldo.

Fwiw I've heard it three times by City fans and with different feelings invoked in me.

The first was at JCH and I laughed along (as did he tbh), then at Bristol City to the ref which was uncalled for and way ott (despite him being dreadful) and then again on Saturday to Mitrovic, which I couldn't really understand as it made no sense.

The bloke admitted that the woman said no to him and asked him to stop several times.

Weird fucking hill to stand on.

What was actually said? Always found the whole story bizarre given that Kilbane felt he had to apologise without referencing what was supposedly said (which would surely exonerate him completely), and his child’s health condition was hardly common knowledge.

It was away at Crewe about 10 years ago if I recall correctly. I remember being slumped in my seat in dismay at yet another shite performance when he (Kilbane) came over to us and was very angrily remonstrating towards a specific part of the stand.
I honestly don't know what was said but he clearly picked it up.

As ever, put enough beer down the neck of morons and they become an utter embarrassment to all others who know what NOT to say.
