Fine posting runs against Zimbabwe but what i want to see this summer is a bowling attack emerge than can do a job down under in November.

This lot would struggle to bowl out a county team these are just cheap runs and proves nothing about Pope.

Poor choice to put such a one-sided test at a batsmans paradise. As TGP says, it's cheap runs and stats padding.

Love watching Test Cricket, but despite nearly 500 runs being scored, yesterday was boring.

For the sake of the game, ZIM should've batted first

I guess there's a reason why Trent Bridge got it. I don't think they had a test last year? Maybe they were due one?

Yes, Zim should have batted. But it's nice to see them play England IMO. Last think we need is a two tiered system with the same teams playing each other all the time.

You've never seen Adam Armstrong and Ben Duckett in the same room. #JustSaying

If Smith can do something opening the batting in this white ball side then a batting line-up where you have Jacks at 7 is ridiculous. That said the bowling attack looks a bit iffy with all the usual injury suspects missing.

No idea why Jacks is there if he was at Leicestershire instead of Surrey he would be no where near he’s a slogger

Bears look an overseas bowler short to me and are carrying Davies he gets out when he gets set and his captaincy is all over the place.

Scattergun approach to signing overseas players since Jeetan Patel retired. Latham signing for the season is a plus but, as you say, bowling lacks something

Took the kids to their first cricket game today - Edgbaston for the Blast. Hyped it up about 4s/6s etc.
Bears were about 40/6 at one point!...very much a damp squib!!!
Home in time for Champions League final though!!

The failure in adding to our batting over the past 4/5 years is mind boggling. Barnard is a good all-rounder, but shouldn’t be batting as high as five.
Said it before but Cain is more interested in property development than a successful cricket team. Anyone in a senior position at the club should have huge alarm bells ringing today for that attendance at a Saturday Blast game.

Sylvester is terrible. Where is Woakes?

I thought Woakes was with the lions, he will be so undercooked for the tests. Today was a shambles the batting without Barnard and Hain is non existent. Ali will come off a couple of times a season.
