England: Can't mess this up!

Also England: Hold my beer.

Harry Brook: Drank the beer sorry.

Sometimes the selection policy rationale seems to border on the absurd. Brook (on why Crawley was picked having not played a 50 over game for over 2 years) "we like the height difference between Crawley and Duckett"

I think they've missed a trick not opening with Richard Osman & Warwick Davis

Great start, 5-1 against the mighty Nepal

My Sunday plan, get up and have a nice relaxing morning watching England get an easy win against Nepal.

That was way way closer than it should have been.

So close for Afghanistan, 2 super overs needed for South Africa to win.

Been some great close games from the underdogs so far. Hope this puts to bed the constant 'should only be the test sides at the world cup' rubbish.

IMO we need smaller groups so that a loss for one of the big teams really puts them in trouble.

Few overs ago Finn was talking about how they just need to keep ticking over and can get there without taking any risks then they implode again.

We were lucky to beat Nepal and now we've lost to the Windies who aren't exactly the hot favourites for the tournament.

English batsmen seem to have a low cricketing IQ, Jacks and Buttler both got out trying to hit sixes when they were well ahead of the required rate & there was no need. West Indies did bowl well and deserved to win but at 74/1 in the 7th over England should have got closer and probably won.

Captain Harry Brook said England's batters were "too careful" in their 30-run defeat by West Indies at the T20 World Cup.

wtf is he on about? they were ahead of the required rate and started trying to smash sixes when they just needed to keep the scoreboard ticking over to win

Loving this world cup. Its so much better with the 'smaller' nations in it and playing well.

Would prefer to see it go straight to knockout after the group stages. That way if you have a lower ranked team sneak through they're only one good day from a semi final rather than going into the super 8s and having the odds massively stacked against them.

I hope Pakistan beat India, it seems to me that India can do whatever they want and the ICC let them get away with it.

I think people forget that the smaller nations play more T20 then the test playing nations, so are actually more experienced in some ways.

As long as McCullum gets to jet set around the world England’s results don’t matter

McCullum’s England continue to be the most arrogant and overrated I have ever had the displeasure of supporting.

Commentator just said so many wickets to unforced errors and unnecessary shots and that pretty much sums England up.

A wins a win and all that but lets be honest. Its Italy, should not be a game that comes down to 20 runs and have the commentators still talking about a shock win with 2 overs to go.

If it was a one off you could say maybe they took it too easy or it was just one of those days but every 'lesser' side we've faced so far we've struggled to beat.

don't think we're a particularly good bowling side atm. Still seems a continuation of other England teams in that bowlers will do what they can and hopefully batsmen will bail the team out.

Agree... There doesn't seem to be much of a plan with the bowling, except in White ball cricket recently, they've oftern been bailed out by Rashid, and he's not been up to his usually exceptional levels in this tournament
