Not getting positive vibes about this India series. Looked iffy when India named their squad with 6 spinners. Now England name theirs with Wood and Stokes (if he bowls) as the only quicks. On paper our spin attack Vs theirs looks a complete mismatch.

[Bertola]

Really worried about Wood as the sole seamer. Hes best off used in short sharp bursts, and now hes our only seam option. Can see him breaking down and us having to rely on an unfit stokes, who then makes things worse and rules himself out of the whole summer

[ccfctommy]

Can Stokes bowl? Really dodgy what is going on with Bashir

[SlowerThanPlatt]

4am starts is a ballache, be able to watch the afternoon session at least.

[SlowerThanPlatt]

re Bashir, they did the same thing to Khawaja last year, also of Pakistani heritage.

India in racial prejudice behaviour - what a surprise

[eastwoodsdustman]

Apparently the pitch for tomorrow is really dry hence why we've picked 3 spinners plus Root. It will do well to last 3 1/2 days by the sound of things.

Think it’s something like…

Morning session: 4:00-6:00

Afternoon session: 6:20-8:20

Evening session: 8:40-10:40

[tisza]

Bat first all out for under 250 in less than 65 overs. Might not be a bad score because the pitch is a bit of a shocker for day one of a Test.

[SlowerThanPlatt]

Poor Tom Hartley getting a lesson here. Test career over before it started

[JohnWH]

Pope not-out sitting on 148

[JohnWH]

Wake up
Currently 388-7, 93 overs into our second innings.
Pope still in, at 179

[SBAndy]

Had forgotten all about it and assumed we were down and out. Look to be in a decent position.

[SlowerThanPlatt]

Big chance from here, 5 down. Hartley with the best comeback since Pompey away.

[SlowerThanPlatt]

Windies are back, downing Australia at the Gabba.

Six wickets later and counting still sure?

Pressure off.

[thekidfromstrettoncamp]

Batsman lucky there he could have been inside his crease but out if he was still in the air.I bet he won't do that again.

[chiefdave]

what a day of test cricket, 2 amazing games with finishes going down to the wire

[stupot07]

What a win that was.

Hands up never saw that result coming. Extraordinary effort from Pope. Hartley looked all over the place day one but that was some spell today.

[thekidfromstrettoncamp]

Us winning in India and West Indies in Australia odds on that would have been good.

[CCFCSteve]

Brilliant win ! Gutted it was on TNT…what were sky thinking

[Mcbean]

Fantastic result from the depth after the first day - Indians without Kohli though

Pure genius, how on earth did you spot that our spin attack was way better than theirs and a complete mismatch

what a win and even better day with the Aussies losing.

Lets hope we get a perfect hatrick of a day and an easy fa cup draw now at home
