England team seems to be going backwards. Or maybe other teams are gaining on them a bit. Wasn't long ago if they weren't playing Australia or India it was unthinkable for them to lose a game like this.

They don’t look like they are spending enough time on fitness and the core skills the fielding was embarrassing. They all seem to spend far too much making tik toks

That was a silly collapse close to the end of the day. Platform was set.

Smith owes Carse one there that is appalling and Root should have grabbed that one as well.

Shocker. Bet we don't hear from Kiwis that O'Rourke was actually born in England

No surprises there then. Some completely unavoidable wickets as usual. Not difficult to guess what the wicket for the 3rd Test will be like

For me they lost that Test in the first innings. More sensible batting in last few overs before close and they'd have built a total that would have put more doubts in Pakistan batsmen.

Turning first thing in the morning

The ball that got Duckett is a disgrace

Got to wonder about the mindset. Bazball on a dodgy wicket doesn't seem smart. Maybe 4 of the wickets are poor shot selection - sweeping on a wicket with low bounce isn't a great option.
But with this wicket and its bounce England spinners don't have to be as good as Pakistan's. Pitch is going to do a lot of the work.

this could be over in about 2 to 3 days

I get tailoring the pitch to your strengths but they seem to have gone too far on this one.

Just think in games like this 20's or 30's can be match winners.

Curious to see how they bat on it. With the uneven bounce batting last (assuming it gets that far) could be horrendous.

267 from where they were at the 30 odd over mark 118/6 isn't a bad effort. But they've left runs out there.

Pakistan played it well this morning, England need to keep this lead below 40.

NZ on course to win a series in India.

This is horrific batting. Pretty much every pundit said they need to be cautious and get through the session so they've come out playing sweeps and all sorts.

No surprise there. Obvious flaws. Really learnt nothing from the series defeat in India.

Bethell called up for the NZ tour as the spare batter! Great potential but feels like another Rob Key ego pick

Probably a bit to soon, but this lad is so talented but needs to push on with some bigger scores and I hope next summer he doesn’t become an England drinks carrier when he could be scoring runs for The Bears

The lad hasn't even made a red ball 100 (averaging 25). If Pope doesn't find some form England are going to need an extra battter. He'd be better off going with the Lions to SA and Australia.
