As of today we lie 9 points off Swindon in 7th..if we can win our next 2. I think we could possibly pull ourselves within 5/6 points off 6 th7 th if results go our way slightly..however December is key to our season..all tough games against top half teams...a good December and we claw our way into contention..a poor December and mid table for us it is

We sill aren't playing well though. Let's just try and get to midtable.

Forgot to give Bailey a mention. Another great performance from the young lad. If hes so out of favour with Clough at Derby, maybe hes another we need to look at signing come January. Our midfield has been alot better with him in it rather than out

Hmmm ... not so sure. Kept saying to myself he was having a great game and then he would go and get caught in possession, miss a tackle or give the ball away and I'd change my mind again.

Up and down like a whore's drawers he was. Greatness spattered with lots of little bits of shite.

Next two games against two of the bottom 3, have to be aiming for 6 points from these games. Table will look a lot more comfortable reading if we could do that

Look what we have coming up - Scunny, Hartlepool, Colchester, Pompey and Walsall and out of those only Hartlepool and Colchester are away. We need momentum... this is a great opportunity to get that going.

When you see Mcgoldrick play for us you find it hard to believe he can't even make the Nottingham forest team/bench

As we know all too well ourselves, some strikers take to some teams and not others. In a strange change of fortunes, one has actually taken to the Sky Blues! I know people are saying we have no chance of getting him but in my opinion there's no better time to get him from Forest. They don't seem to want him, Forest fans don't rate him, he's in the last year of his contract and Forest now have money with a newish manager more than likely to try and put his own stamp on the team. He's doing well for us and maybe adding value to himself game by game, but he's also losing value day by day because of the contract!

If sisu do not seize this opportunity, it shows that they have no intent or ambition of progress for our football club. They have to manipulate the resources at hand, to ensure that we keep him, otherwise we are rubber ducked.

Why bother listening? It's the same on the phone in week in week out, win lose or draw.

Baker should do his talking on the pitch instead of on facebook,he's one of the first that should be shown the door.

Also I would like to add the Crawley support was pitiful and they were just a long ball side for most of the match

In the end whatever they do Forest or McGoldrick can just say no.

At the end of the day all we can just try, put in a reasonable offer and offer competitive wages. If a championship club comes in for him it is likely he will go to them

Why would either say no, if the offer were to be reasonable?

A couple of seasons ago in the Blue Square, their average home gate was 1,500, dunno what it is nowadays so for a midweek away game, it was about as I expected. they were quite noisy on a few occasions.

There was one moment when they attempted an insulting chants in response to us mocking them but there wasn't enough of them for it to be audible

I have been called that a lot this season by doom and gloom merchants

Who are the gloom and doom merchants though?

We still haven't played well yet this season. Been odd spells (Bury first half), but in nearly every single game we have been 2nd best.

Don't see how anyone could predict anything other than a bit of struggle and midtable based on what we have seen so far. We have to play so, so much better before we even begin to start thinking about the other end of the table.

I do think Robins is the right man and he will get us there. Just can't see how that is going to be this season. Still so much to do, still lots wrong, still not dominating matches.

A few seasons before that they averaged well below 1,000.

The Crawley local radio guy was on with CWR pre-game and proudly boasted that Crawley regularly take 100 fans to away games. Couldn't help but chuckle at that.

250 fans in a new stadium, when 3rd in the league is pretty awful. There's over 100k living in Crawley also.
Not just the numbers but the noise was pretty awful...

I thought it was a good performance last night. For the first time in ages we were fighting for every ball, shown particularly when Cody won the corner in the first half. There didn't seem to be as much passing back of the ball either. Another positive was after their goal we went and got another rather than panicking and playing too deep. Crawley passed the ball nicely and I felt in the first half that if they'd had more threat up front then it could have been level at half-time. It seems Robins is finally starting to get some performances from players. Baker had another poor one though.

Until very recently they were a middling non-league club averaging 6-800ish. 8 years ago I went to Crawley with Weymouth in a Blue Square South (equivalent) game and there were almost as many Weymouth fans in the ground as Crawley, and we had travelled over 100 miles to be there. Not surprised their following is small, it will take time for them to build a fan base.

Well im delighted we got the result we did last night> sometimes teams will have greater possieon than us but if we fight for the ball and are organised its ok. we apparently looked very good going forward(was not at game so not entirely sure). I think Robins is making us harder to beat and if thats the case then its the most important step. Crawley were 3rd coming into this game so would be full of confidence and would be used to keeping the ball. im happy to let them have it if we are organised at the back and thats what we look like we are becoming.

Ok we are not playing great but if we got another few wins playing poor it would not bother me in the slightest.

Coventry must have gone away from this wondering how they won the game. It won't happen all the time. I was actually very proud of the way we passed the ball about.

How many times did we hear that from Thorn last season?

I no someone who received a parking ticket for parking on a residential street last nite he lives on the street tho. Will he be able to get it declined the ticket? Also I thought the rule is if attendance less then 10,000 the parking rule doesn't come into place

Crawley were largely a long ball side from what I saw, reminded me a bit of a Boothroyd side if I am being honest

Interesting link!

Was it a Coventry Council run street though? Some streets come under Warwickshire (or maybe Bedworth and Nuneaton)
