Just thought I would wish everyone who is travelling down tomorrow a safe journey. Just so everyone knows the Redz bar located at the ground welcomes away fans and opens at 9.30 tomorrow. Being that we are 2 points worse off than you the nerves are becoming unbearable because if we do succumb to relegation we know it is the beginning of our slump back to non-league which we all know is inevitable in the long run but we aren't quite ready yet. It will be fantastic to have a capacity crowd because as most people are aware of, our support is pretty poor but when the ground is full the atmosphere can be quite intimidating. Games like these don't come around very often and I hope that come the full time whistle both sets of supporters will be euphoric but for some reason I don't sense that being the case.

Cheers. Will be good to be apart of the occasion.

Fortunately I live 10 miles away from Crawley so I'm not subject to the shitole that is the town centre, so i'll pass but thanks for the offer

Good post Crawley fan - I suppose the perfect result for the day to go well for all is for both to stay up.....what would be needed for that to happen?? I guess bad results back at Crewe and Notts

Best of luck for next season regardless of what happens

We could always delay the kick-off by 15 minutes and piss some other fans off for the next 30 years! :claping hands:

Yeah absolutely and we just need notts to lose and then we can escape relegation with a draw but its so much better to focus on our own game rather than relying on other teams. Yeah the same goes for you guys, with everything you have had to put up with in the last few years I certainly wouldn't want my team to be the one to send you down especially as i was one of the ones to sign the petition against SISU and we went through a similar situation a few years ago with our owners and were literally minutes away from adminstation, but if its at the cost of survival then that changes things unfortunately. If you want I'm sure you would have our permission to cause disruption prior to kick off, get the match delayed by 10 minutes or so, and then when the other games have finished we both know what we need...! Bit like Huddersfield v Barnsley a few years ago

Personally I hope Crewe go down, but then that would mean us losing and then Crewe losing too. Not sure I can stand the tension if you are winning and we are then looking elsewhere for hope.

Is there any sequence of scores that could result in us both staying up and Sunderland being relegated?

A draw today would do. They are in the bottom 3 and nearly as shit as Newcastle :claping hands:

I don't care who goes down as long as it ain't us, no offence but hoping we win

I would rather Crawley go down than Notts County or Crewe, as Notts and Crewe are much closer for a good away day

The best away days for me have been the rare occasion where both clubs have something to celebrate. So for this reason a draw and both clubs staying up would be the perfect result.

Like I said on the other thread, never understood that whole mutal respect stuff and hope we get the best result. I hope we win, don't care if they go down or not as long as we don't. I am pretty sure they won't give a shit if they win and send us down either.

I don't care about anybody else surviving relegation. Its a dog eat dog game today and let's not forget it.

Just to say I really feel for you after your friendly post yesterday. We’ve all been through torture this afternoon, so let’s hope we both have an exciting and successful time next season. In our case, we literally can’t even remember what that is like.

Thank you, was very difficult to accept considering we were safe early in the second half but unfortunately these things happen, in all fairness over the course of the season we were one of the 4 worst teams in the division but the uplift we have seen with Saunders gave us real belief. On the upside it may as well be called league 2 south next season and we are re-United with a few clubs we actually have some sort of history with. Good luck for next season

Got to be honest, we stayed Saturday night in Crawley and expected it to be rough and were very pleasantly impressed and if we do play them again will definitely stay over, some great bars and restaurants. Some strange looking people around though but think they were City fans in drag.

Can you honestly compare any where to Wood End? ;)

I spent the first 24 years of my life in wood end, and loved it. great place to grow up.....

Wouldn't want to live there now of course..... ;)

I once read this on a toilet wall:

"If you laid all the girls from Wood End out in a line, I wouldn't be at all surprised".
